Tra La La is a happy-go-lucky tune created from the open first position in the 4th dimension. It uses a closed 4th position for contrast. But also important is its employment of the 2 fingered pizz. Is there another piece with such an extended use of this often overlooked technique? Tra la la!

Calling All String Players
The perfect thing for string players to do during this time of social distancing is to play solo string music!
I would like to offer a challenge to all string players: if you post a video on You Tube of any of my solo string pieces in the next month or two I will post it to my Facebook pages and forward it to my email list (which has major players on it). You will also be in the running for a future project that will be amazing. So post a video soon!
