There was a time where Iwazumi Hajime didn't want to go on a journey let alone a pokemon one. He personally didn't think it was meant for him. Alas, Tooru had managed to drag him along for the ride that he decided he felt was right, and it wasn't long before they encounter a pair of pokemon.

Tooru was weirdly excited, as the pair they met were two espurrs. The bubbly trainer that had dragged Hajime along for his trip caught them both, and offered one to him. Iwazumi refused, at first at least... Saying how he didn't want to be a trainer, he was fine just following along. Alas, the one Espurr had other plans, continuing to stare at the non-trainer with big ol buggie eyes. Looking into his soul, practically begging Hajime to keep him.
