if anyone were to ask augustine why she continuously filled out these blind date forms every year without fail she would lie, claim it was a joke. it would be easy to sink into the irony and disdain that poisoned most of her thoughts and opinions. the truth was more embarrassing. it was a yearning to connect, to reach out and be reached for. “who the fuck watches romcoms anymore?” she’d just picked up the form, reading the answers as she waited for her coffee to be made. turning towards the person nearest to her, she continued, “have you seen a romcom in the past decade?”

daisy held a foam to go cup in her hands, leeching away as much heat from the thin to-go cup. “i don’t think hot chocolate is supposed to taste like this.” technically speaking, it was a peppermint hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. not that it tasted like that. it was watery and had just a hint of chocolate with an overwhelming peppermint flavor. it was enough to make her mouth burn just a bit. “i really wouldn’t recommend it. twelve dollars isn’t worth it.”

“oh  no  …  oh ,  that’s  not  good .” said @volatiicus​

“maybe. maybe not.” knox mumbled quietly staring at her smoking plant. “could be shedding…” it definitely was not shedding.

henri stood there for a moment, visibly buffering while they took in what keira had just said. they closed the flash portfolio that they had been showing her. “so do you want a tattoo or not?” no matter how much they wanted the money that tattooing someone promised, they wanted them to at least be confident that they wanted a tattoo. regret was bad for business. “because we can always do this later? we do flash events every few months.”

lavinia wasn’t exactly sure how old keira was, assumed she was somewhere between sixteen and twenty six but hadn’t had any luck narrowing that range down at all. “you have anything to eat today kid?” there was no time for keira to answer the question before lavinia kept talking. “like anything with leafy greens? i read somewhere that’s high in calcium. kids need that, don’t they? good for bones and shit.” 

              𝖇𝖑𝖆𝖎𝖘𝖊   𝖟𝖆𝖇𝖎𝖓𝖎   ,   𝖘𝖔𝖔𝖓   -   𝖙𝖔   -   𝖇𝖊   𝖋𝖆𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗  and   well   aware   that   everyone   now   knows   this   fact   ,   moves   through   the   festival   grounds   with   ease   .   he   remains   unruffled   and   his   face   remains   remarkably   unshiny   despite   the   fact   that   everyone   else   in   the   surrounding   crowd   is   sweating   at   least   a   little   bit   .   some   might   call   it   magic   (   it   is   )   .   some   might   even   call   it   annoying   of   him   (   also   correct   )   .   but   years   and   years   of   being   a   somewhat   public   figure   has   taught   him   that   vanity   will   help   more   than   hurt   and   that   keeping   a   cool   head   in   the   court   of   public   opinion   is   the   best   and   most   amusing   way   to   face   the   backlash   .   he   is   not   of   the   opinion   that   he   has   ANYTHING   to   apologize   for   and   his   mother   did   not   stop   being   oliviette   zabini   when   she   took   on   the   role   of   mother  ,   so   he   fails   to   see   why   he   should   not   follow   in   her   footsteps   .   he   pastes   on   his   public   smile   ,   all   pearly   whites   on   show   in   a   grin   that   reaches   his   eyes   but   is   never   as   genuine   as   it   seems   ,   and   stops   the   next   person   he   sees   .   ❝   hey   there   ,   ❞   he   says   ,   smooth   baritone   at   odds   with   the   cacophony   of   instruments   coming   from   the   stage   .      the   look   he   gives   them   is   apologetic   for   interrupting   their   afternoon   .   ❝   you   wouldn’t   happen   to   have   seen   pansy   parkinson   around   ,   have   you   ?   i   seem   to   have   lost   track   of   her   .   ❞

THREE THINGS THAT MAKE MY MUSE HAPPY  :  when her cat ( sweets ) decides to nestle down in her lap after ten minutes of debating it / wandering the chaotic aisles of little known / hole in the wall thrift stores / the once in a blue moon occasions where she finds an old piano out in the wild ( tucked into the corner of an old stately home she’s visiting or buried underneath piles of books in a grimy little café ) and she gets the chance to play a short tune. 

THREE THINGS THAT MAKE MY MUSE SAD  :  losing track of time after making a cup of tea late in the evening & only remembering when it’s gone ice cold / rainy days in the middle of winter when she never seems to remember the need for an umbrella and can never manage to get her hands warm / the moment after waking up in the morning, before she properly stirs and starts getting ready for the day ahead where she remembers the brand on her left arm. 

THREE OF MY MUSE’S FAVORITE SONGS  :  i’m still here by kate winton ( from nineteen to twenty three, i was a worst version of me / then i got to twenty four and realised that i deserve more ), dreams by the cranberries ( i know i felt like this before / but now i’m feeling it even more / because it came from you ) & ironic by alanis morissette ( it’s like rain on your wedding day / it’s like a free ride when you’ve already paid / it’s the good advice that you just didn’t take / and who would’ve thought... it figures )

A WISH MY MUSE HAS?  :  lana vc for the war to end <3 but for keira it’s less so because there’s already been so much of it ( like ... that’s a FACTOR ... ) and more so because she doesn’t want to have to think any deeper on it or, god forbid, actually stake a side. again. 

THE MOST DARING THING YOUR MUSE HAS EVER DONE?  :  i think keira would consider her career choice the answer, here. it took a huge amount of guts for her to come out of her comfort zone and go into cursebreaking, which has already taken her out of england for work / study purposes - and that, in itself, isn’t something that she ever imagined ! she definitely envisioned a desk job of some description when she was much younger, but that wouldn’t have been because she wanted a desk job. she just never realised she’d have what it took to take a lil leap ! 

IS MY MUSE CREATIVE?  :  yes, though she’s struggled to create anything to be proud of since her hogwarts years. when she was just a lil girl, keira lived in her books and only came out to practice piano and put pen to paper in one of numerous sketchbooks that she filled. her grandmother supported the expanding of her mind in the former and thought all little girls should be trained musically, but when it came to the abstract art that keira most often indulged in, saw nothing of note or worth encouraging further. she only really blossomed there at hogwarts and on joining the schools art club, sticking to what she knew and felt comfortable with and honing her skill. she likes the strong, dark lines of ballpoint pens and she still finds herself absently doodling on the corners of important paperwork and restaurant napkins, but she hasn’t felt the spark that drove her through her teens - and earned her much praise from her fellow, vastly more talented club artists - for a long time, now. 

IS MY MUSE PRONE TO JEALOUSY?  :  yes, but she isn’t happy about it ! when keira was younger, she constantly played second fiddle to her sibling. she felt as if her grandmother loved her, but she didn’t think that she liked her very much, and tbh, she didn’t. she was always jealous of how easily norma quirrell’s pride was bestowed on them, and constantly sought much the same to a much lower success rate. they weren’t close before because they couldn’t be close with that unspoken competition coming between them, but where that dynamic is mostly changed, keira’s never been able to shake that thread of envy that runs through her, only now it rears up in regards to everyone and everything else. she’s gotta be a nightmare coworker, because she wants to be THE most well liked, and she’ll settle for nothing but. 

THREE PEOPLE THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO MY MUSE  :  every single one of these guys currently unplayed and / or dead, but consider that a reason to snatch the two possible to play up ! top of the list is her twin sibling, wherever they may be. they weren’t always close and keira didn’t always care for them, but circumstances changed mid teens and they’ve become very, very good friends who rely on each other ... quite a bit. her uncle quirinus quirrell, rip :(( while keira’s relationship with her maternal grandmother was never the best ( plenty of reasons for that, but i think it’s best summed up by a few crucial differences in character ), she always gravitated towards her uncle, who encouraged her interests & shared in them with her. and her best friend ! possibly the only friendship from hogwarts that keira has managed to maintain, which also makes it a dynamic that spans a lot farther back than any sort of positive one with her sibling !
