diana's initial response was to stare blankly at justin as she was uncertain how she was meant to respond to such a statement. "i’m not sure what i’m meant to do with that information,” she ultimately responded. it wasn’t a particularly nice response, and it certainly wasn’t helpful, nor was it thought out - but it was nice. “do you think you can point me in the direction of one of your friends? or maybe tell me what they’re wearing?”

"are you sure we’re doing this right?” with a tent string that had no obvious source wrapped around her ankle and one of the space buns that she’d worn for the first day of the festival hanging loose after a tussle with some of the inner stick bits, ginny was quite aware that she wasn’t the MOST qualified person to argue with dudley’s tent building logic. she was trusting him, here, the same way that she expected him to trust her when it came to the magical expansion spell that she’d spent the previous week working on with hermione, to varying degrees of success. she was pretty confident, now, and even if that was all she had going for her, it was better than nothing. she was PROBABLY going to be able to wow him, once they got their flimsy accomodations upright - but getting there had already been a troublesome journey. “i’ve never done this by hand, before-” she’d never done it herself FULL STOP, but she didn’t want to admit it, “i’m not sure what the pointy things are for.” 

she can’t help herself. an innocent glance behind her to see how much longer the line has gotten since she joined it ends disastrously as, the minute that ginny realises theodore budak has just HAPPENED to find himself queueing at her back, she loses all sense of what’s right & what’s polite. sure, it isn’t his drama, but they’ve always presented as one unit and that can’t change, now. “morning,” she says, before turning her head back around and smiling, to herself - a baring of teeth, a brief consideration given to whether she’ll say anything more at all before she turns right around in the queue to face him and, with no further hint of that brief hesitance, “if we’re believing the rumor mill nowadays, zabini’s going to be a dad, and obviously parkinson’s getting married off any day now, so... any thought to what you’re gonna offer the group, budak?” 

everything looked a little different on this side of several lethal cocktails. thanks to exclusive access to some of the more high end bar set ups that wrock en seine had to offer, pansy had been indulging in some of the more EXPENSIVE - and consequently, potent - drinks available since the day had started, a journey that had only ( and some would say finally ) come to an end when the festival had wrapped up until tomorrow. she wasn’t entirely sure how she’d made it back to the hotel, only that she had without having to aimlessly search for draco, which was a win, she thought. she had gotten out at the first stop that her elevator came to, and carpet passed like a blur underfoot until she reached the end of the corridor and - this part was fuzzy, though she assumed she struggled for a while with the keycard to her door - then she was stood in the middle of a sitting room that seemed flipped from the one she’d gotten used to, though everything was vaguely upside down, at the minute, so that wasn’t really as much cause for concern as the unfamiliar figure that appeared in the archway. “what’re you doing in here?” 

“-oh shit!” oriana said, their review of a mid-tier band they were giving cho aborted at the sight of pansy parkinson in all her glory. their week had heavily featured ducking behind bushes, jumping into random people’s tents, and once trying to squeeze under the stage at the sight of either pansy or blaise. they grabbed cho and pulled her behind a group of porta-potties. “i was hiping she would stay home. parkinson’s probably going to try and hex me again that.”

oriana hadn’t been sure that pansy left the area when they said their goodbyes to cho. twenty minutes spent hidden behind the porta-potties before they spotted the one person they wanted to see less than pansy parkinson: blaise zabini. “shit. shit. shit.” they muttered under their breath and walked away as discreetly as they could. they looked around for a place to hide, saw the green that signaled an unlocked porta-potty. when they yanked the door open and slipped in they were greeted with the sight of pansy parkinson standing on one side, seemingly having the same idea as they had. “blaise is right out there and if you start yelling at me i will throw you to wolves.”

‘     Ugh.     ’          A  simple  word  and  yet,   it’s  the  only  one  Millicent  truly  needs  to  display  their  complete   &   utter  dismay  at  somebody  trying  to  dance  with  them.   Swift  elbow  quickly  digs  into  the  perpetrator’s  ribs,   helping  to  really  deliver  the  message  before  shoving  at  their  shoulder  to  get  them  a  fair  distance  away  before  they  spill  even  more  drink  on  what  was  previously  one  of  Millie’s  favourite  outfits.   What  a  damn  waste.          ‘     What  is  it  about  festivals  that  make  people  forget  their  basic  manners?   Absolute  animals.     ’          They  continue  to  voice  their  displeasure,   approaching  the  one  familiar  face  standing  out  from  the  crowd.   They  offer  Knox  a  cup  of  beer  as  payment  for  their  time.          ‘     Honestly,   Bellamy.   If  it  continues  like  this,   I  may  have  to  hire  you  as  a  potential  alibi  because  I  won’t  be  responsible  for  my  actions.     ’

“so,” daisy pulled antigone throw the crowd, their hands laced together. “are you having fun? any complaints?” for her own part, daisy was nearly giddy as they walked around wrock de seine. music festivals were not really her thing. she saw little appeal in packed crowds, heat, sunburn, and mind-numbingly loud music. it all really sounded like a recipe for disaster to her. but antigone had asked, had invited her along with her as  date. it was enough to make up for the thousands of times she had to stop and put sunscreen on and the back pain that had developed after days of sleeping in the van with her.
