Sometimes you need to take a break from distracting yourself and just. Confront what you feel. I mean everything’s exhausting, like repressing your feelings takes a lot of energy and expressing them takes a lot of energy so I think you gotta do both. Take turns. I don’t think you have to commit to doing one or the other. It’s not about being strong or being weak I think it’s just about being lighter and more fluid.

Too much of the #discourse surrounding skin bleaching shames the people who allegedly do it and not the toxic culture of white supremacy that makes people feel the need to do it in the first place like
