Another pattern added! This time it’s the littlest stingray As always, if the timestamp on this reblog is more than like a week or so in the past, it’s worth clicking through to check the original post. I update it every time I add new patterns All the patterns here are free! If you have any questions or any links break, please let me know, I am happy to help but don’t look at these posts all that often so I might not notice when links break. I have a ko-fi if you want to support me sharing patterns, but it is 100% not necessary, I’m going to keep sharing patterns for free either way
If you have any pattern requests for patterns you’d like to see, send them my way! I make no promises, but I never know what will spark my imagination (just maybe don’t send them as comments on this post, it’s got enough notes things are hard to find lol)
This whole project was heavily inspired by the work of Lina Shamoon/ Mirrors by Lina (website here, check out her very cool and much higher quality work). My spin on things is definitely not made as well as her stuff, but I'm still loving the effect.
I love you calories. my beautiful wife calories

its probably a normal sign for the economy that all of my adulthood fantasies are like "imagine having your own kitchen living room and bathroom to decorate" "what if i could get on a train" "maybe one day i could purchase a sturdy pair of shoes" "i should save and invest in a single bicycle"
My boyfriend just said “none of your years on tumblr could’ve prepared you for a boyfriend like me” lmao
I've been seeing a lot of posts lately that tell dropouts "you can always go back!"
And that's not bad! It's true for a lot of people! You CAN go back later! You can apply to university, you can get your GED, you can pursue whatever level of education you want. It's not bad to share that message. If you dropped out and want to go back eventually, there is zero timeline. You can go back at any age, with any life experience. You do not have to graduate by a specific age.
But as someone who dropped out of college over a decade ago, sometimes "you can always go back!" starts to feel a little like an empty platitude. Sometimes it starts to feel grating instead of hopeful. Even when it might technically be true, sometimes it still feels like a hollow sentiment.
I just want to say, to anyone else out there who feels that way, who dropped out and CAN'T go back, potentially EVER, whether it's due to poverty or disability or any other reason:
It's okay to drop out and never go back. It might feel shitty, and you may even feel grief over it. That's real, and painful, and allowed. But you are not lesser. Even if you never go back, you are not a failure or a loser. Academics do not define your worth. You are not stupid. And it is almost certain that the system actually failed YOU.
With love,
A fellow burnout
PMDD is wild because you'll have the worst week of your life and its like depression in their worst form and you don't have the spiritual energy to achieve anything in your life and everything is pointless forever and then your hormones settle and you're like "woah dude I love my life so much. Wtf was that."
always think of this meme when this scene comes up

i'm still upset that I only found out about PMDD on this website. like what the fuck, high school education, doctors?? why the FUCK did you skip the fine print that experiencing despair/self-harm/suicidal thoughts before your period is, in fact, NOT a normal PMS symptom, and that you should go to a doctor about it for the possibility of having PMDD?!
I just googled this and… yes, it’s absolutely real.
And there are so many articles and videos and discussions. Like, the scientific community is buzzing about this.
So much research will have to be redone because the data was absolutely compromised, off by orders of magnitude, by using standard lab gloves.
The world is probably not horrifically contaminated by microplastics. Sterile laboratories, however, are contaminated by latex and nitrile gloves.
Thank God someone bothered to check.
Since I hate having to do my own searches to verify stuff, here’s a Science Daily link and the journal article it cites for any similarly lazy-but-conscientious people after me. (And the University of Michigan press release, for what it’s worth.)
God bless Tumblr users and their respect for primary sources
Yeah I could make taro milk tea without the purple sweet potato powder but then the drink wouldn’t be purple and if the drink isn’t purple then I have to ask myself what the point is. Sure it tastes good but it’s not purple

I am in such a season of change in my life. Apt, as the weather changes more and more from spring to summer. To be honest, I don’t recall what my last update was about.
The end of last month and throughout this month have been hectic.
On the school end, I finished group projects, individual products. I did every single one of my finals on Monday so I could relax the rest of this week. To be honest with how my family was this semester and how I lost steam as it went, I don’t know which classes I passed. I know for certain I passed two, potentially three. It’s good enough for now, I’ll handle the consequences of the others when I get back to school after taking a break.
In the personal realm, I got moved over to my own bills, and honestly haven’t talked to my parents very much since then. I had an unexpected citation which I paid immediately so it was just done. I went on a weekend trip across the country to celebrate a friend graduating, and my passport came in the mail. I’ve been planning out food and organizing and getting by rid of things little by little.
I bought knitting needles and am borrowing a sewing machine in the hopes to pick my hobbies back up. Because I lost them in the grind of school and feel like I need them back to feel alive again. I have like three sewing projects I abandoned because although I know how to hand sew, I much prefer working with a machine as the lines are straighter and stronger. I fear I don’t have my sisters ability to create gorgeous handsewn seams.
I’m not sure how active I’ll be in this community, I’m not sure how active I’ll be “allowed” to be since this is a study community and I’m not in school for now, but I have plans of self study Im super excited for I hope to talk about sometimes :)
Some photos from my weekend trip :)

If you've ever seen a stranger on the street physically flinch or jump because you sneezed so loud that you startled them, you've got to work on that. Like I don't care if it's involuntary, figure it out. Find a way to make it stop. Doing that shit is a character flaw at this point. It's obnoxious.
oh boy
Read this to my sister and she told me to shut up. She then preceded to sing at me as "punishment".
(Our mom sneezes so loud it sounds like a bullet going off, she's unfortunately picked up the habit. We've theorized she does it for attention, but she insists it's unintentional.)
Correlation does not necessarily imply causation, but there is a significant overlap between people who shout when they sneeze, and people who are obnoxious on purpose.
When I was a child I had sneezes that could shake a building. It was entirely unintentional, I didn’t like it and it even hurt sometimes. But the whole house would be quiet and I unfortunately had seasonal allergies and would absolutely demolish a peaceful environment and my throat. However ☝️ I am a grown adult now and I did figure out how to quiet them up without suppressing them or hurting myself. So if any of you guys are saying it’s just how you sneeze, cool, me too. I fixed it though.
