Regardless of all the other subjective storytelling issues surrounding Jax, the fact that he became the second main character halfway through the show is just bad writing, plain and simple.

I'm sorry, but you don't introduce an ensemble cast, have one particular member of said cast play little role in the first 3-4 episodes, then turn around and go: "Surprise, assholes! This guy was actually the secondary main character the whole time!"

Just... no.
