Jesus makes a very strong point with the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant of just how important and critical forgiveness is to our current lives and to our eternal salvation. For me, this parable is a fateful one that parallels this very essence of Lent. After all, Jesus sacrificed Himself in order to forgive us our sins so that we may one day be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

I find it hard in the course of daily life to simply ignore the petty grievances that regularly occur but that seem to consume me nonetheless. It seems a little easier to confront and address the more significant offenses committed against me only because they are more pronounced so that forgiveness jumps out as the only true resolution to such hurtful feelings. But, Jesus reminds me with this parable that it is not enough to learn to forgive for the major sins against me while simply disregarding the need to forgive and let go of the minor ones as well; I need to learn to be forgiving in all aspects of life regardless of the degree.

You can calculate the amount of possible combinations by (number of possible characters)^(length of password),

e.g. a 20 character password containing only lowercase letters has 2620 possible combinations.

From that you can calculate the information contained in the password by log2(number of combinations).

That means a 20 character password containing only lowercase has equal security than a log2(2620) = 94Bit Key. They are equally hard to bruteforce.

Calculating the bit-strength of a passwort is a good measure of how good a password is.
