Imagine they’re out somewhere quiet, maybe a late dinner. MC keeps her hair down the whole time, deliberately covering the side of her neck where she drew the roses earlier. Damon notices she’s a little more covered up than usual but doesn’t think much of it… until midway through the conversation she casually tucks her hair behind her ear (or shrugs off a light scarf/jacket) and the roses are suddenly right there under the light.

He freezes mid-sentence. His eyes lock onto them and you can almost see the exact moment his brain short-circuits. His voice goes a little rough around the edges, and he has to look away for a beat just to keep talking like a normal person. The rest of the date he’s restless. Leg bouncing under the table, gaze constantly drifting back to her neck like he can’t help it. By the time they’re alone again he’s already decided: the second the door closes, those roses are getting bitten <3

okay, so I have a cute idea for this!

since biting is a pretty normal part of Hueväri culture due to their beast origins, I imagine their beauty standards developed around areas that are nice to bite :3

so long necks, nice shoulders, prominent collarbones, upper arms and thighs could all be considered especially attractive. fashion often draws attention to those areas too—open or off-the-shoulder necklines, exposed backs/nape, thigh slits, chokers, arm cuffs, shoulder jewelry or even hairstyles that deliberately sweep hair away from the neck, etc.

they'd also have cosmetics made specifically for this! things like flavored, edible body paint/balms can be applied to common bite spots before a date, and some perfumes are made to be safe to taste on the skin. this would be used to signal that you want to get intimate later and are giving permission to be bitten in those spots 👀
