watching bfdia is great and all, and i do like what they were doing with Pin at the very beginning. It’s a shocker to me that so many people just villainized her to the point where its like. Did we…watch the same show….

yes, Pin did things she probably shouldnt have done but also like. She had so much taken away from her—and the things taken from her wasnt even anything like a special spoon or whatever. She had parts of her literal body taken—her AUTONOMY taken. Of course shes gonna be a little fucked up in the head dude she’s being treated like a literal object instead of a living one. I thought the progression of her turning more aggressive and ruthless made sense. She leans into the narrative that she’s mean because that’s all she has left. And if everyone keeps treating her this way, then maybe that’s truly all she is.

bfdia did such a great job building up to it but then started fumbling so hard after her making up with Coiny. This whole main character complex that she suddenly grew out of nowhere makes no sense and it baffles me that they would do this to her. Even the most recent episode kept jabbing me in the side with this sudden change and it kinda made the episode a little less enjoyable (SIGH AND MAYHE ITS BECAUSE IM A FLAKE BUT CMON MAN PIN IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER FROM BFDI ESPECIALLY IN BFDIA CAN YOU BLAME ME). Its not even just that episode either. After the MONSTROSITY that was 20and 21(??? Dont quote me on this one im forgetful ok. Im talking about the episodes w her crashout n shit) they continued to sprinkle in this new development in the rest of the episodes and its like. Dude. Do you know your own character… Pin did not have a main character complex. She was egotistical and leading, yes, but she doesnt have a main character complex. WHERE the fuck did that even come from

maybe i dont look in the right places but i havent seen anyone mention dandy’s more forceful and dare i say controlling nature and how that might affect his relationship with his only friend (other than peeball)

now how do i make this about my au HMMMMMMMMM

i know the whole thing is that astro still talks to dandy and all but in my au hehheh…. He doesnt after some point because of how much Dandy clings to him especially when everyone except brightney and astro and dyle (but dyle’s too busy being all alone so he dont count) are all that’s left pre revival machine. Plus Dandy crashes out on him at some point. Astro gets epic advice from Brightney (since she’s the only one he can really talk to outside of Dandy) and decides to have some space from Dandy. Dandy does NOT like that especially because Astro is really all he has left at that point.

when astro eventually twists, Dandy ends up working with Brightney to make the revival machine, and once they it properly works, of course Astro is the second toon to come back (firsr one is shrimpo, he was the test subject because of course he was)

Dandy hopes Astro forgot all about their conflicts, but Astro remembers. He continues to distance himself from Dandy. Doesnt help that Dandy is slowly but surely slipping away as well, so he’s not exactly the most stable person. so of course he crashes out again god is that all hes ever good for

when dandy does The Thing to Dyle, Dyle kind of ends up very nervous because he barely knows what just happened and he doesnt wanna tell a trusted adult abt it because he knows Dandy’s reputation is going down due to the fact that he clings so tightly to the show while everyone else begins to move on and adjust to their new way if living and he doesnt want to cause the other toons to further pull away from Dandy. Also he wouldnt even know if he can even prove what Dandy did to him was evil. Uhm dyle is also the very first toon to twist too

One more thing, contaminated ichor brings out the absolute worst in toons. It targets their deepest issues, insecurities and just the worst aspects of themselves and brings them out. This is why a toon is at risk of twisting (if they havent already) upon physical contact with it. Contaminated ichor will cause toons at risk to be more prone to mental distress and make them dwell on their issues more and more until they’re in enough misery to make the ichor start to take over their minds.

rodger was liek. The second toon i bought im pretty sure (with finn being the first ouhh my goat finn) and while yeah. He lowk set me back a little when i was first playing and refused to play as any other toon except him at some point but ithink he helped me in a way. His slow speed forced me to have to stop and think and be careful about where i go (especially in solos….) and also i think i stamina manage better because of the fact i played as him since slow speed means you Need to be ready to run for dear life if things go south and you Need the stamina for that. Which is why i side eye anyone who complains about his low speed because like. What fun is it if every toon is fast or js average speed???

i dont play rodger as much as i used to especially because im still kinda new to the game (i think). Im still buying more toons and playijg more of them and if im being honest, takinf a slower approach isnt exactly the play style i typically enjoy. If im being honest i probablt would prefer scraps over rodger (IM SORRYRODGER) because at least with scraps her ability is honestly super good and helps so much with get aways ans getting to machines faster. Also you can highlight toons and machines too so HUZZAH!!!

i know in the last post i already shared how i think these two are jealous of each other but i held back on the yapping. But not this time eheheh

While i think these two would be jealous of each other, it would be in two different ways. With Dyle it’s more of an aw dang i will never be able to be in the spotlight for even just one moment no matter how much i want to be. I will never be in the show and i will never be able to have the attention that Dandy once did. I will never be able to really get to know anyone enough to no longer view them as simple coworkers. I wont be able to have the time to make meaningful connections like the craft siblings or Sprout and Cosmo. Im meant to be nothing but a simple tool in the background meant to be hidden away as im put to work. That is a reality i have to accept even if it hurts to even try to do so. I can only sit here and fantasize about what could’ve been. That should’ve been me, but its not and i have to live with that.

We all recognize ichor for its black, liquid form. Leaking out from the pipes, filling up machines, pouring down the faces of twisteds and coating their bodies… but what is ichor supposed to be?

Ichor is a very malleable material capable of taking the form of just about anything if it’s used correctly. Its nature can even be made nonsensical, capable of making the impossible possible. While ichor take on the form, texture and material of just about anything, there are three main types of ichor.

Toon ichor is the ichor that makes up each and every toon. It makes up their organs, their bones, their skin, bodily fluids—it makes up every part of a toon. When a toon has lost too much ichor, ichor donations will not be done at all since it will end up getting rejected (sort of like human blood except they don’t have specific ichor types when it comes to toon ichor!)

This type of ichor is used for the revival machine, which helps prompt the machine which toon to revive.

Clean ichor is devoid of any contamination or genetic information. It is the ichor toons extract from the machines, which will then go to power all of Gardenview—hence the reason the power hasn’t gone out. Unfortunately due to the lack of maintenance, and the fact that the toons can only do so much to take care of the building, Gardenview is still faulty in some aspects like the lights and pipes. During ichor leaks, clean ichor is what escapes the pipes.

Since clean ichor is free from contamination and doesn’t hold genetic information, it can be the equivalent of Type O blood to toons. If a toon has lost too much ichor, clean ichor can be used. This type of ichor is also used for the revival machine next to toon ichor. This is to reduce the amount of toon ichor spent on revivals, as toon ichor will end up taking over clean ichor and cause it to hold genetic information.

Contaminated ichor is ichor from twisteds. If a toon hasn’t already twisted, major exposure to contaminated ichor in wounds may cause them to twist. Contaminated ichor tends to have a slightly red hue unlike clean and toon ichor which has a more bluish hue. If a toon has simply made physical contact to contaminated ichor, they will be at risk at twisting even if it hasn’t gotten into open wounds or has been washed off. The only way a toon at risk could twist this way is from intense mental distress.

A toon can unknowingly come into contact with contaminated ichor by stepping into ichor puddles that a twisted has stepped in. Once even a drop of contaminated ichor has touched clean ichor, it will get taken over by contamination. This is why it’s not advised to harvest clean ichor from the puddles on the floor.
