Now after a long departure.

I am back writing down my thoughts once again.

I have grown so much in the last few months, meeting new faces and nurturing my existing ones.

My closest friend has turned out to be more than a friend. A companion. A safe harbour. A silliness that we can both laugh at.

I wouldn't want it any other way.

Walking through life together. Through this pandemic.

We stand strong day by day. And how I wish I was already on my way...

And so, I start my diary here…again.

 It’s the start of the festive month and hundreds of thoughts swarm my mind.

I’ve made a friend, one I believe will stay with me for a life time.

We are close,

We are open,

We are everything but awkward around each other.

We met through destiny,

And before you call that corny,

We literally did on a game called destiny.

He had an air of calm.

But later I learned that calm came with all the colours of the seasons.

Through him, I have learned that I am not the devil.

That even though I fall and break my wings,

Doesn’t mean I belong down under.

He is compassionate,

He is kind,

He is warm,

He is a part of my life I do not want to be without.

So here’s my first entry..to my first soul connecting friend.

I struggle to connect with people. When I felt I understood them, they pulled away like the evening tide. I stopped trying..
