Monthly Study Plan to Prepare for the GATE Civil Exam
The GATE Civil Engineering test is a national-level entrance examination for Civil Engineering majors seeking post-graduate admission to IITs, NITs, or other foreign colleges, as well as positions in government agencies. The design, development, and maintenance of the building and environment are the main focus areas of the engineering discipline. It is recognized as the second-oldest engineering field, behind military engineering.
The GATE Civil Engineering test is given each year. A scorecard issued following each test is valid for one to two years for PSU recruitment and up to three years for post-graduate admission. The GATE Civil engineering is highly competitive and challenging in its own way.
What does the GATE Civil Engineering Exam comprise?
The primary and secondary papers of the GATE Civil test each have their own collection of questions, patterns, and topic weighting. The test includes MCQs, MSQs, and NATs questions from several civil engineering fields.
General aptitude (15%), engineering mathematics (13%), and civil engineering subjects (25%) are the three topics included in each exam paper.
The exam is conducted for a total of three hours (180 minutes). The test has 100 points and consists of 65 questions covering every area.
The GATE Civil test preparation process is difficult and demands thorough planning and commitment. Every applicant taking the GATE Civil test is expected to take the general aptitude portion. The paper pattern includes questions with multiple choices and questions with numerical answers. The numerical-answer component does not get any negative scoring.
The civil engineering paper's code is CE, and each section's weighting is as follows: General Aptitude receives 15% of the total points, Engineering Mathematics receives 15%, and Civil Engineering Subject Questions receive 70%.
In order to prepare for this exam, it is not enough to dedicate just a few days. It requires rigorous planning and a structured study plan to ensure that all topics are covered and remembered at the time of the examination.
A monthly study plan which can be altered based on your capabilities and requirements can help you plan and assess your progress and cover all the topics efficiently
