** This account is primarily Starcraft themed, specifically around my favorite character Dehaka. Despite that though I'll be posting here about any franchise that's on my brain. A comprehensive list would def be impossible and I'm the kind of person who's attention span is like a revolving door, but check below to see a few prominent ones that I'm long time fans of.
-Jurassic Park (And paleo media in general)
-Godzilla/Kaiju
-Starcraft
-Newgrounds
-Valve Games (TF2 and Portal are my main favs)

Bro can we talk about how so many other "fangirls" hated Nina so muchđđ
I sorta slighty showed this through these screenshots here:
This is a character called Slender Doll Ally, created by InvaderIka on Deviantart. THIS IS NOT A CALLOUT POST OR ANY SORT OF HARRASMENT ENDORSEMENT!!! she was pretty young when she drew this i highly doubt she still agrees with any of that now as an adult. Plus i always did rlly like their art its very cute and they have some pretty interesting ideas.
Now i wouldn't consider her to be a fangirl type character but she fits all the criteria that would attract the same sorta harrasment Nina's creator faced. I am pretty certain she did experience a good ammount of backlash back in the day for having a Slenderman's daughter type character, i personally remember being on quotev and seeing people shit talking her oc.
(Ref from 2013)
(Refs from 2014)
Which makes it just incredibly ironic and kinda sad when it comes to the Nina hate. In some of the more early-ish days of the fandom it was a bit more socially acceptable on sites like deviantart to have these sorta characters.
Around i wanna say 2014-2015 is when the mary sue bashing became like super popular and that continued onward into the decade. In general the mid to late 2010s had an obsession with like whatever they deemed "cringe". Suddenly in these spaces where people were originally just having fun and connecting over a shared interest, the attitude shifted and people expected these 11-16 year old kids to churn out ultra polished professional ass work. Along with expecting them to like have a propper grasp on horror as a genre (which is like ???), and while I've always been into horror a lot of kids first introduction to the genre was through creepypasta. Of course they're gonna get all anime-y with it they're like 14. Their parents probably don't even let them watch horror movies n shit.
Anyways, after this sorta like cringe culture nonsense became like THE attitude everyone adopted, kids started getting waves of hate and there was a mass scramble to try and make our OCs more "serious".
Even if you personally didn't experience the wave of harrasment you still had to watch it happen to all of your friends or mutuals. It scared the shit outta kids, made them almost too paranoid to even attempt making OCs. And slowly creepypasta OC culture started to die.
This happened with me and like basically every other kid i knew in the fandom. I had this oc Creature that was like my super awesome self insert who was like Zalgos daughter, Jeff and Liu's sister, and Ticci Tobys girlfriend and all this other crap and I FUCKING LOVED HER. drew her constantly for like years. When i started sharing my ideas and art on quotev evwrything was pretty chill at first and i was able to very quickly make friends. Then the evil fog of pain and hatred rolled in and i was subjected to a good many mary sue accusations. And its like were they wrong? No not exactly, but i was also like 13 and just like role-playing on fucking quotev like who cares.
So of course i like many others fell to the trap of submitting your oc to an OC review (which were also always run by like other 14 year olds btw), And i got like absolutely shit on lmao and it made me massively insecure so i started tweaking my character around, making her less wish fulfillmenty. Eventually i ended up just sorta loosing interest in her because there was so much like anxiety of her being perceived as this self insert mary sue. Like no matter how much i changed and how serious and dark i got with the character i never felt like it was enough.
And you can see the same progression with Slender Doll.
Its more shown within the description, which I'm not gonna post here because its long, so I'll link it below.
Now nothing wrong with revamping your oc, changing things up a little. As i got older i wanted to explore more dark and complicated themes with my characters so i was always updating them. Nothing is objectively wrong with any of the changes that they made (other then continuing to present schizophrenia in a rlly weird way but not the point rn).
Its just more so the context behind why so many people, so many kids, felt forced to make changes to their Ocs.
The attitude shifted around everything from OCs, shipping, fanfiction and fanart, everything. And you could see it with artists that used to go pretty hard with that sorta stuff just a few years later get online and literally CONDEMN it. Like normal ass fandom stuff.
My point is it created a very hypocritical and hostile environment. People who's Ocs weren't even far off skill and story wise to Nina would come online and shit on and further the harrasment of literal children. In favor of appeasing a fandom that would tear them to shreds if one of their fave youtube guys just happened to stumble apon their oc and make a video about it. The only reason creators like this were able to slide under the radar and not experience extreme harrasment was legit because no big creators put them on blast. It was just luck really. They were lucky they stayed obscure.

Would people be interested in Punch Out Matchup/Matchmaker? Ive done something similar with TEC, and i think the Punch Out self shipping community is very untapped
Matchmaking for anyone wondering is basically this: Describe yourself. Personality, looks if you'd like, interests, etc. And I (or whoever is doing it) will give you a character that they think would be the best match for you! (Or your oc...)
. i have no words for this one. At least with Mike Tyson, i still gave him the cartoony charm, but dang... did i kinda messed up somewhat with Mr. Dream?
Mr. Dream is rather a very mysterious fellow. Every single boxer in WVBA had met Mr. Dream at least once in their sleep, and so far none had been reported to have won a match between the two (if they dare challenge him on a fight). People who had relation to said boxers either as an immediate family member or friends also reported to have been encountered by Mr. Dream. Studies showed that there are no reports of fatal injuries caused by Mr. Dream yet many witnesses claims to have woken up with bruises after they lost to this mysterious fellow, in which they claimed to gain those injuries after they fought him. One particular boxer, [REDACTED], is reported to gain some form of bond to Mr. Dream after an encounter with him in his teenage years. [REDACTED] had grew up to develop a fighting style that revolves around putting his enemies into a deep sleep after he knocks them out. Despite [REDACTED]'s unusual fighting style and theme, he continues to live a normal life as a boxer and currently holds the title as the heavyweight champion of WVBA World Circuit after defeating his latest opponent, another Heavyweight boxer who's known for his famous Clothesline attack.
For the time being, it is highly advised that if you encounter Mr. Dream as an amateur boxer or a rising champion, or even someone else with no knowledge of boxing, refrain from challenging him onto a fight if you wish to wake up without injury. Any witness or encounter of Mr. Dream should immediately be reported to Saranjana authority for further instructions. We hope to eventually learn more of Mr. Dream and understand the reason behind his arrival towards specific people.

Things I've learned so far from posting Punch-Out (Wii) stuff on tumblr...
Aran Ryan has his weird little fanclub (yay!)
Glass Joe has a LOT of selfshippers (congrats, big guy.)
Don Flamenco artists are all SO TALENTED??? (what's he feeding yall?)
Not as much Piston Hondo(a) fanart as I predicted.
Yall are too creative with these OCs. Ring girls? Paparazzi? ARAN'S SISTER? I'm so obsessed.
Glad to know we all struggle drawing King Hippo.
The way y'all draw each character's unique features deserves applause too. They all couldn't look more different from one another. (Same face syndrome artist's nightmare...((me))
