Wonderful, he did the one thing he hoped he wouldn’t do. Worry her. He hated it when others worried about him. He didn’t think he was worth it and that there were more important things for others to worry about than him. But Cullen also admitted she had a point. He knew he should be more forthright with her when it came to how he was. “Yes I’m sure. As of right now, I’m fine. I’ll hopefully remain that way for the rest of the day. If not then I promise to take it easy.” That was possibly an empty promise because he would much rather throw himself into his work than rest during such period of time but he would at least not push himself as hard as he normally did. “Please don’t worry about me.”

“As inquisitor and the your friend I find this is my duty to worry about my friends. Especially the ones taller than me,” Meaning all of them except for Varric. “But I am glad to hear you are doing alright for now. I don’t want you to push yourself.” The elf couldn’t control herself then. Despite first appearances she is a touchy person. So her arms had opened up and embraced her commander into a tight embrace not minding the armor against her face. “I’m just so proud of you Cullen.” She says softly, her voice gently humming against the armor.

“You’re welcome Inquisitor,” he chuckled once more. Watching her step down from the chair, he was a bit taken aback by her question. It also took him a moment to realize what she was actually asking. Rubbing the back of his neck he wondered how much he was actually willing to say. The last thing Cullen wished to happen was make her worry. “I’m fine, thank you.” The usual headaches, body aches, and nightmares and nothing that he wasn’t used to dealing with at this point. 

Despite intentions her lips thin with worry. Cullen was not only the commander of the inquisition but also a dear friend. “Are you sure? If there’s anything wrong you can tell me alright?” A smile came back then but it was soft and gentle compared to it’s normal pride and cheeky nature. “It doesn’t hurt to tell a friend what’s wrong.”
