Originally, Gilito is a type of green slime created by Gaylord.

Gilito can possess any living being.

He is a cannibal.

He cannot feel any emotions, but he can "have fun" in his own way. He enjoys watching people suffer. As I said before, he doesn't feel emotions, but he can copy emotions, though he can't feel them himself.

In his original form, he cannot speak, as he has no vocal cords.

He can stretch his slime parts however he wants. Even when possessing a body, the parts he envelops in slime can stretch as he pleases, along with the tentacles that sprout from his back.

He has the nickname Gilito because in the original Spanish dub from Spain, Gaylord Sneedly's name is Gilito Lumbreras.

Has no one wondered how Melvin's dad's science notice ended up in the book? Well, I have. And every time I read it, I wonder how Melvin's dad's science notice could have gotten there. I mean, yes, Gaylord (that's Melvin's dad's name) knows George and Harold, but not well enough to read any of their comics. And he probably doesn't even know that George and Harold make comics. So, how did Gaylord's notice end up in the Ook and Gluk comic? My theory is that maybe Melvin took the George and Harold comic home, left the book on a table, and his dad found the comic and read it. But there's something else that doesn't make sense either, which is the warning about George and Harold's science notice. It could also be that the next day, Melvin took the comic to school (along with Gaylord's science notice) and returned it to George and Harold. The two boys, upon seeing Gaylord's notice, added the science notice. What I love about Gaylord's science notice is that he mentioned that in 2003 he "won" the award for the most brilliant science guy of the whole wide world award (which he never actually won and was just a joke George and Harold played on him to get at Combine-o-tron 2000).
