CLASH OF MAFIA
I wanted to compile a VERY basic guide to CLASH also known as COM and discuss how ZONE PLAY works for trading points. There are many strategies, ways to play, etc... so this is by no means âThe definitive guideâ .. but hopefully a good template for new players!Â
The Map
Teams enter the map and are assigned to a âfactionâ, either RED or BLUE. Which ever faction your clan is assigned will be the color buildings and occupation dots will appear on the map during the game.Â
Each faction enters the map at far left corner or far right corner, players must teleport to buildings to speed up their time to take buildings.Â
The above MAP has been marked with red ellipse and numbers 1 - 7. Each of these numbers represents a ZONE and the ellipse defines the (3) buildings in each of the zones. The clan coordinator/leader will assign zones to each player.Â
As an example, Zone 4 player will have the Godfather Manor, Police Station and Hospital.Â
Taking Buildings
When clash starts everyone is under bubble and buildings are in protected mode. There will be a 5 minute count down timer and once that ends buildings can be taken. THIS IS A RACE AND A BATTLE ALL IN ONE! I would recommend taking each of the (3) buildings in the zone you are assigned as fast as possible with full marches. You want to have ALL THE ZONE buildings at the same time.Â
I very strongly recommend when you teleport to the assigned zone, you land in the middle of the (3) buildings!!!!Â
Once the game gets moving and you are trading buildings, itâs best to use only a few bikers (T10s) to take buildings, they are the fastest... and WATCH THE TIMERS!Â
What's the building status?Â
You can tell where things are quickly by looking at the map. Any building that is fully colored RED or BLUE has been occupied for 5 minutes and is ready to be taken by the other faction.
Buildings with a DOT on them (RED or BLUE) currently have a 5 minute timer running down on them
Location arrow I noted above just as an example for you to realize these show your clan mates on the map!Â
Wait ... What Building timer? Hows that work?
Once troops enter a building a 5 minute counter starts (time shown in seconds). 300 = 5 Minutes, 240= 4 Minutes, 180= 3 Minutes, 120 = 2 Minutes, 60 = 1 Minute... at zero an email will be sent to the player who took the building stating âYOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY OCCUPIED.....âÂ
If you are trading buildings, this is your queue to remove troops!!!!Â
The key to GOOD game play in CLASH is to STAY ON YOUR TIMERS. You want troops to be taking the building within seconds of the timer finishing. This keeps the buildings going back and forth between RED and BLUE factions and gives all the players the most points.Â
We typically say each player can max out at 100 points unless others are not joining or we have no-showâs for the event.Â
Alternate âTouch and Goâ .... another way to play COM is called Touch and Go .. this means once your troops take a building, you remove them immediately. This can be risky .. other clans can short cut timers and take your points ... if the clan you are in is much stronger than the opponent this is usually OK.Â
I do not suggest Touch and Go unless the clan leader/COM Coordinator has specifically told you to play this way!Â
Some Basic interesting points to consider about COM (Clash of Mafia)
* Troops DO NOT die .. all troops will be healed once the battle is over
* Leaving COM before it ends means you will receive ZERO POINTS
* R4 and R5 are the only members who can add/remove clan members from the play list.Â
* 200 points per player is the maximum amount to get all rewards possible
* WON and LOST rewards are based on points each player gets, but you get rewards even if you never take a single building!!!
* Taking a building JUST BEFORE the timer ends will take away the enemies points for that building/time. A good tactic to make a âfew mistakesâ on early timers during the early match to gain some advantage
* Vigilanteâs increase march speed, ops size, attack and defense IN COM. The increases are directly related to the level of the Vigilante.Â
Hope this helps! Happy Clashing!Â
