I know someone online joked about Marco being born outside of the US because of the part of his social security number that was seen when Janna revealed she had all of Marco’s private information, but yeah he’s 100% a citizen. Sorry for the confusion 😅

It still just seems a little weird given the show itself never joked about Marco’s status as a U. S. citizen. It also never brought up Star being an immigrant, so it’s pretty weird in general to me.

And with how my universe is, I don’t know why it’s being brought up at all unless you didn’t read anything about my blog.

She doesn't go to Echo Creek High because she is not in the U.S.

Mewni and Earth were forcibly separated, leading to her having no knowledge (and in turn no contact) of Earth. Violet, being a princess, had a private tutor who taught her everything she would need to know about being royalty and her future responsibilities towards Mewni. Victoria taught her the more relaxed stuff, like how to spend a day shopping and what's 'in'.

She does, in fact, get therapy. Thanks for all the baggage she needs to unpack, Star.

But I'm also not sure why you're saying Marco 'might' be a U.S. citizen. He is. He's hispanic, yeah, but he was born in the U.S. (unless someone has evidence stating otherwise, in which case I'm wrong). Most people have pointed out that he's probably second or third-generation. Apparently his dad is Mexican (again, I would need confirmation on this).

Moon, shockingly, is still alive!

She was very close with Violet especially after seeing just how cold Star was to her over something that wasn’t her fault.

However, Moon tried to teach Violet how to use magic, something that every Queen has done with their daughters at some point.

But Star flew into a rage about it, saying Violet didn’t ’deserve’ to learn, that she should figure it out herself if she really wanted to learn like Star had to after Moon sent her to Earth.

It caused this huge argument, an argument that had been in the making for a long time. It wasn’t just teaching Violet magic that caused it, but it was Star’s belief that Moon cared more about Violet’s studies in magic than Star when she was Violet’s age (which. Somewhat true).

Moon defended herself, but Star told her she isn’t to teach Violet magic if she wanted to keep seeing her.

She would have been loved, sure, but it would not have been perfect; far from it.

Had Violet been born and ended up living with Marco after the Split, he would have been devastated at losing Star.

In an effort to move on from the past and not confront his own emotions, he would have thrown himself into caring for Violet, while also searching for aspects of Star in her the entire time.

He’d comment on it often. Too often. How alike Star and Violet are. He’d introduce her to things Star liked, and if she also liked it, Marco would sigh, smile sadly, and say ‘so did Star’.

As a child, it felt as if it were the highest of praise. When she’s on the older end, she would feel… happy? But uncomfortable. Lying to say she liked something even if she did not. She wanted to see Marco smile.

As a preteen, she’d feel suffocated by Marco constantly comparing her to Star, feeling as if he is trying to mold her into a version of Star so that he can keep that faint glimmer of her memory alive.

Similarly to being ‘raised’ by Star, Violet would end up with plenty of problems by the time she’s 15. She has some friends, but even that is criticized by Marco at times (Star adored everyone, so surely Violet should, too).

She would end up breaking under this pressure, leaving the house late at night to just be able to breathe.

Tom, being a demon and everything, has already been poking at visiting other worlds by this point, so he’d end up being the one to allow Violet use of a portal. After, Tom would go to Marco’s door (he and Tom aren’t together in this version, as Marco felt that it would be disrespectful ((to Star)) to date others when he was raising Violet; or he had too-high expectations of his dates and ended up alone either way).

He’d knock, waking Marco and explaining that Marco fucked up, plain and simple. And now Violet can’t bear to look at him.

You’d be right - at least for Star and Marco.

But that doesn’t mean that everyone can just go Willy nilly to Mewni and Earth as they used to.

Portals are a lot more unstable, they don’t last as long as they used to. They can’t be left open - portals will close on their own within 2 minutes.

Even the mirror phones can’t handle a call between Earth and Mewni; many suspect that this is due to the universe just ensuring that no one can plan to make a permanent portal again. Others think it’s due to something in between Mewni and Earth, but nothing has been confirmed for obvious reasons.

Violet is able to leave Mewni after obtaining some dimensional scissors, but she doesn’t even know about Earth except for what she’s heard from Star. And that isn’t much. Just that Star was very happy there and had a lot of fun, and now she can’t get back.

Hell, the only reason she even knows Marco’s name is bc Moon told her about him. Star hardly spoke to her, let alone about Marco.

It’s a shame that Star didn’t view Violet for what she was - the last remnant of Marco she still had. I’m sure if she hadn’t fallen into a well of grief, she would’ve loved Violet unconditionally. But it just. Didn’t happen.

By the time Violet even considers leaving, she has no interest in meeting Marco even if she could : P

It’s a very interesting perspective to live by

After the Split, Globgor and Eclipsa helped others who were displaced get set up. She was also being a mother to Meteora, so they were quite busy on Earth.

After everything calmed down, they spent ~5 years simply living life and raising Meteora while working odd jobs. Eclipsa became a gardener, so she gets to plant beautiful roses all the time.

Of course, being on Earth means she has no relationship with Violet or Star. Oh well lol.

After a few years, she and Globgor decided to have more kids. It was difficult due to the Butterfly's having a family history of infertility (due to magic radiation). But they were able to have more kids in due time.

"....Queen Star looked very happy. She must have been right when she said I ruined her life."

That’s on me, I shared why on my other platforms but never here, lol.

Basically, Star’s family suffers from infertility in my au. So when Star and Marco were planning to get pregnant, they were inviting a midwife over to give Star a look-over and ensure that everything was going smoothly.

Well, the midwife began to complain about how upsetting magical traveling was for her stomach (going through the portal from Mewni to Earth), so Star decided she would make a giant portal that was open all the time. Basically a doorway that had no magic in-between (think ‘window’ vs the portals we see in the show).

This ended up being a bad decision, as the universe needs portals to be closed when not in use to prevent leakage of magic and what have you.

Star having a portal open 24/7 was causing HUGE amounts of magic to just. Leak everywhere. It caused chaos in other dimensions.

The universe tends to balance itself out when something damages it, so the universe did what it did best: stop the problem.

And in doing so, it established Star as the Pillar of Mewni and Marco as the Pillar of Earth - acting as support beams to uphold their respective universe.

This is also why Star can NEVER return to Earth - if she does, she’ll risk Mewni being destroyed, collapsing in on itself. Vice versa with Marco and Earth.

Because Star became the Pillar when she was pregnant with Violet, this caused both Star and Violet’s bodies to be damaged. Not physically, but in the magical sense.
