But playful only works when it feels safe.

And a lot of people don’t feel safe right now.

Not in their bodies. Not in their relationships. Not in the world at large.

So it’s not surprising when stress crowds out relaxation.

When anxiety beats desire.

When being on guard feels more urgent than being open.

It still matters to carve out places in your head where you can breathe.

Where you can soften.

Where you can remember what play feels like.

But if that’s harder these days, that makes sense.

You’re not broken. You’re responding to the world you’re in.

And honestly?

Fuck the people who make us feel unsafe.

Fuck the systems that profit from fear and exhaustion.

Don’t let them steal your joy.

Don’t let them take your pleasure.

You only get one life.

It’s allowed to contain softness, desire, and moments of escape.
