In my previous post, I mentioned how things have gotten rather busy for me recently in anticipation for some summer plans. I think now will be the good time to tell you: June is gonna be a packed month for me and my family.
Last year, while taking a recharge from Orlando and California vacations, my older sister shared with Mom that Garth Brooks is going to be part of the lineup for the annual Summerfest in Milwaukee. Naturally, Mom bought tickets for me and her to go see him in concert again. lol As the date drew closer, we've been gradually making plans to take advantage of our first drive to Wisconsin in almost 8 years with a full-blown road trip! This time, we're shaking things up a bit; instead of driving the usual way through the Northeast and Midwest to get to Wisconsin, we'll be driving up north to Niagara Falls, spending a day in Toronto, and driving from there to get to Wisconsin. In other words, I'll be going to Canada for the first time, and I am really excited! I've always seen Canada from the other side of Niagara Falls, but I've never been in there before. Even if it's for a little bit, I'm looking forward to going to another country in over a year!
Of course, that's not the only time we have travel plans, let alone in the same month. Mom and I will be going back to Wisconsin—by plane this time—near the end of June because my brother-in-law's parents are planning a baby shower. Yeah, you heard me right. My older sister is pregnant with her first child, and I am gonna be an aunt! When we got the call from her that she's gonna be having a boy, I literally had to wrap my head around that bombshell. I'm honestly still am. XD
The road trip will last about a week, specifically from the 12th to the 20th at the latest. As for the baby shower, it'll be during the last weekend of the month, with our flight leaving on the 26th and returning on the 29th. We do have more plans in July, but those aren't as busy this month's and involves less traveling, so it makes more sense to share only June's, something I was already gonna be sharing to begin with. In any case, this month is certainly going to be an unforgettable time!
