I can't remember interviews and everything perfectly right now, did the duffers explicitly mentioned plot twists regarding the finale?

Because to me the only real plot twist of season 5 was the UD being a wormhole and that was in volume 2

The finale literally doesn't have a plot twist, at all, and I don't think they suddenly forgot how plot twist work, I mean, do we not remember S4 episode 07. This show is suppose to handle plot twist well

A plot twist would be Eleven finding a way to survive all this, not do what Kali predicted for her

A plot twist would be Will getting with Mike when no ga members believes it

A plot twist would be someone dying during the mind flayer battle, not defeating him under 20mins without much of a struggle

Where is the twist? Sincerely if conformitygate doesn't exist, where is the twist?

Me, today: *plotting a season 5 rewrite and a post-epilogue fix it fic and an original queer horror novel with a main couple that suspiciously looks and sounds like Mike and Will*

I'm also speedrunning through all stages of grieve on repeat :') Currently back in denial (maybe conformity gate is real or maybe the documentary will show that byler was always the plan but for some reason the duffers are now forced to deny it in interviews and had to cut it out)

I’m going and writing the best fucking fix it fic in the whole god damn world because the CHARACTERS deserve better than this. ALL OF THIS. The ending was so bad on various different levels and lucky for the Duffers, I can write.

Big words from a nobody online, I’m aware, but I will do it. And if at least ONE person reads it and feels liberated than I did my job.

I’ve started planning my s5 fix-it fic! Aiming to have it be Will Byers-centric, heavy on the horror, with slow burn Byler. I may be disappointed with how the show is going, but that will not dull my love of the characters - in fact, it just fuels it more.
