Rio Eu Amo Eu Cuido

Mural painted for the event "Corredor do Graffiti" by Rio Eu Amo Eu Cuido, at "Comunidade do Cerro Corá"(slum), Cosme Velho, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.

This street is one of the ways to visit the "Christ the Redeemer"(statue) at the top of "Corcovado mountain". Me and other 21 artists were invited to talk with the locals and paint a mural on each house, with our own styles and what we gathered from talking to them.

I had the pleasure to get the "Açaí do Elvis" wall space, and i could do a huge brightness mural with the intent of improving his açaí juice blend sale.

Graffiti art is the foundation of my work, when in 2004 I started to put on the street all my sketches, studies and experiments that were in my sketchbooks.

My work is organic and loose in style, my main subjects are: food, plants / nature and textures.

These illustrations depict Rio de Janeiro's different neighborhoods and cultural aspects. Each one of the four scenes was printed as placemat that when put together, form the complete mural of the city.
