If Mike was trying to conform to 80’s standards he probably should not be dating the girl who:

• Was raised in a lab

• Has a speech impediment

• Has a mother who was known for being crazy ( aka the years she spent suing Hawkins Lab, and shooting a dude)

• Has no idea who her father is

• Does not get social cues

• Has been arrested for aggravated assault and maybe attempted murder

• Is wanted by the US government

Let’s be so for real right now, El would be every white, conservative, Reagan-loving, pearl clutching boy mom’s paralysis demon.

Secondly, when you are trying to conform, that usually comes hand-in-hand with showing off to other people how “happy” you are. Think of Ted and Karen for example, who barely interacted throughout the first 2 seasons, only to roleplay “happily married couple” during the 4th of July celebration with Holly. If Mike wants to conform, he needs to ask his dad for some pointers, because he’s clearly failing.

Here is a project I did for my Comic Art class about the animal-centric webcomics I grew up with! They were vital to the way I created (and still create) art and stories, and I also wanted to share some of my favorite webcomics! I think xenofic is very underrated as a whole, and I’m always an advocate for supporting indie artists.

I actually finished this a few months ago at the end of my school semester, but never got around to uploading it till now. (With the mastercard/visa stuff going on I thought this was a relevant time to post as well). (Note, this was written to be understood by people both within and outside of the community)
