equanimous. calm and in control of emotions. (Caitlyn for Vi)
Feet paced back and forth, running her fingers through her hair. Her first real ball, the event that would place Caitlyn in the realm of society and prove that she once and for all deserved her rank and placement as head of house but also, in the nobility of society.
And here stood a lone zaunite who didn't know what the fuck she was doing.
"Breathe, breeeeattttthe," Vi whispered to herself as she looked back at the mirror and the two servants waiting for Violet to still so they could help her dress. "You both know I can do this myself, right?"
The two women glanced at each other. One was a young looking squirrel, with punkish wild hair in a wolf cut style, falling down over her shoulders. Her tail twitched from Vi's nervousness. The white swan with her long slender neck looked down at the squirrel, extending her wing to gently pat the maid who was helping her out. "Yes, Miss Vi," The swan spoke and her beak pulled into a little smile. "But Miss Kiramman requested we help you as this is your first real event,"
"And, and we know you want to look your best, right? I mean, she, she's going to look amazing and you must look just as good, right? Yes," The young squirrel spoke quickly with a little smile on her lips and waved her hand. "come, come, Miss Violet," Vi sighed as her hands dropped and she rolled her shoulder from the slight ache. "Can you remind me your names?" Vi gingerly asked as she walked over, allowing them to gather things together.
"I am Amara, Miss Violet, and this is Pan," Amara waved her hand toward the squirrel who smiled and waved her hand quickly. "Alright, let's get this over with!" Vi huffed, straightening her back as if preparing for war. The two Vastayan worked side by side, as Vi would undress out of her normal zaunite clothing and they helped her into a fancy suit. She looked down at the pristine white pants, the boots fitting around her feet as if perfectly framed for her size. Her shirt was buttoned up, save for the top two buttons which Vi requested Amara keep them unbutton. "I am sure I can look classy without it being too tight," Pan looked at Amara as she looked a little confused, but twitched her tail and smiled. "OH I KNOW WHAT TO DO!" The squirrel bounced to the side, dropping the tie and crawling back over.
Her claws took the sleeves, rather then button them up and rolled them up to her forearms. She flicked the collar around and grinned. "How's that miss Vi?" Vi twisted in the mirror, looking at the shirt. Form, yet still… her. "That actually works. Glad I don't need that tie. Maybe some kind of gold chain instead," Amara already had it within her hands and smiled. "We have all sorts of items ready at our disposal. A few rings will add to the classy motion of your outfit," Vi laughed softly, as the necklace lined her neck, not disrupting the small black collar on her neck. A few rings were placed on her thumb and pointer finger, and on the other hand her ring and middle finger as well.
"How in the world did you two know how to make this work?" Vi questioned as Pan started to work at Vi's hair, brushing it and helping style it a bit, though still allowing the messy look to shine through. "Miss Kiramman spoke with us and we did research into your style!" Amara chuckled softly and nodded. "Indeed, we knew we had to find a way to ensure your comfort while adding your placement in Piltovan society. Ensuring a graceful yet… rebellious nature," Vi laughed as gave a shrug.
"Well, you certainly have done so, its very well done," The last part applied was a white jacket, resting upon her shoulders to finish off her look. Every inch of her primed in the opal white attire with the accents of gold and red. "If you two always work the fashion this way, then you can dress me any day, sweethearts," Vi grinned. Pan practically squeaked at the flirtatious tone and covered her mouth. Amara found a light blush powdering under her feathers.
"Miss Vi!" Amara gasp softly, yet both women looked pleased with themselves and the compliment. "What, I'm going to ask Caitlyn to have you two be my helpers any time I have to wear something to an event. I don't know anything about fashion or clothing," The two young woman looked very pleased with themselves, and with a small bow they saw themselves out. Vi continued to look in the mirror, shifting side to side. "Oh, Jinx would have a field day," Vi laughed, as she briefly saw the hallucination in the corner, pointing at Vi and laughing her ass off. That tail was swishing around, but Vi knew it wasn't out of maliciousness; that laugh was like a sister teasing her older one. "Yeah yeah, I know. I turned into a piltie," Vi teased but she knew she really hadn't. In her clothing, she might look like one, but the hint of the zaunite still shined out. Though Vi didn't consider herself from either state truly.
The door opened up and Vi turned around. "Cup----cake," Vi's eyes widen, the name slipping off her tongue and fading away. Unlike Vi's white suit, Caitlyn wore a beautiful black suit, with a half cape hanging down of dark navy blue. Her earrings and jewelry gleamed a beautiful silver like the moon, and her hair looked placed in a tight bun with loose strands of curls hanging around her face and her bun. Prim and proper in ways, but Vi could see the elegance of rebellion. "Holy…. shit," Vi's eyes were wide and could not look away. Its as if she was thralled without even needing Caitlyn to do so.
"I mean, you look great in your uniform, and in your casual wear but… wow," Vi's lips pronounce the last word with emphasis as she walked toward her. Her hands brushed down Caitlyn's arms and her eyes gazed at her up and down with the look of adoration and amazement. "Everyone is going to be looking at you and your going to make me a jealous cat," Vi chuckled as her tail swished behind her.
"What do you think, do I look okay? I've never worn anything like this, all my clothes were from the scrap yard," Vi admitted. She would sow Powder's outfit and her own, and she remember sowing other kids outfits, though she wasn't entirely sure why. She had no other siblings, right? Yet, she vividly remembered sowing other clothing. Maybe she sold them off.
