michelle's room is so personal 2 me .. the little hanging lights , the moon lamp , it's all comfortable soft light ... her sketches , the photographs , the photos of them and ned / peter / friends that have gradually begun to accumulate ... the little skulls on their shelves , all of their books.

#it's personal TO me but also just so .. personally michelle #i really think their room is designed for comfort.#to be a safe space honestly. a refuge.#also thinking about how so much of it is put together over time ... like those photos #that eventually join the rest of the wall the closer she becomes with the people around her #even the shift in their sketches. to start featuring friends ... they've always had a hard time #with getting close to people. and then eventually having close friends that are important to them #and incorporating them into that safe and comfortable space.#also i love the little skulls sm i think they're so mj. michelle has an older half brother jj ( jeremiah jones ) that's usually not around very much as he's 10 years older than mj + went off to college out of state where he remains except for occasional holiday visits !

#i'll write smth bigger about jj later ..#but we love him . he tries !#it's hard for him to come home but he's always thinking of michelle ..#wishes he was there for them more but they get it #he helps when he can #my next flight isn't for like .. another almost 4 hours ..#please expect just little tidbits and things .. or come plot w me on discord ... <33

i think .. a lot of michelle's clothing is second hand. hand me down , thrifted , community swaps , or gifted by older community members from their children's outgrown clothes. some are from mj's older brother jj and are some of their favorites. jj's old jackets especially. most of everything is worn or doesn't completely fit right except for a few rare pieces here and there. an old dress of her mom's. those ones are usually saved for nicer occasions. mj also tends to wear multiple layers , initially to hide the ill fitting aspects or longtime wear and tear but eventually for comfort.

#i just think .. yeah .#they prefer pants most of the time over skirts or dresses too #it's not something that she's ashamed of really #there's worse things #it just is what it is in their mind #but i think at some point it was easier to hide it #and later incorporates it into their style tbh ! but . rather than getting questions about it or yknow kids can be cruel #mj was the kid in class without a winter coat another parent would donate another older coat of their kids to #this is just ! important to me ! thanks !#mj is also that kid that teachers would give scholarships that technically didn't exist to or waive fees for #hi my first plane just landed
