[Because of my writing style, I’ll be rewriting certain characters stories in order to fit together more nicely. Of course, I’ll write as close to canon as I possibly can, but consider this an “alternate universe” of sorts!]
Tw: Brief mention of vomiting, suicide, murder, and child kidnapping
The Operator, though more commonly referred to as Slenderman, is an all knowing entity shrouded in mystery. He is roughly ten feet tall, bone thin, with a featureless, hollow face, almost appearing to have sheer white cloth for skin. The Operator wears a perfectly tailored suit, despite his grossly exaggerated height and freakishly long proportions.
The Operator is always spotted in the woods at night, hiding amongst the vast trees. Scenarios in which a victim has a camera, phone, or other recording device, all footage and images become corrupted or simply erased permanently.
While it is theorized he is a fae originating from the Black Forests of Germany, they are mistaking The Operator for another separate entity, fittingly named The Tall man (or "Der Großmann".)
The Operator himself has no known or spoken about origin.
In forests where The Operator has been spotted, there are usually two-four children who have gone missing in that exact forest. It's unclear wether or not The Operator had anything to do with these kidnappings, but none of the children have yet to be found or returned to this day, all having disappeared in a similar fashion: simply vanished at night.
Proxy is the common name of The Operator's loyal servants. These servants often carry out brutal missions in order to protect The Operator’s interests. None are given a reason, only a command. All proxies are marked with the same symbol, a circle with an X straight through the middle, with the typical placement being the hand or arm.
A large number of these mortal servants also possess "Slender Sickness,” a disease strangely akin to radiation poisoning. Symptoms include shaking, vomiting, random nosebleeds, disorientation, severe anxiety, hallucinations, suicidal thoughts, and homicidal tendencies. "Slender Sickness" occurs from prolonged exposure to The Operator.
The (Mortal) Proxies are often individuals who have experienced severe trauma, like the infamous Tobias Rodgers or “Ticci Toby”. The Operator finds that these individuals are easiest to manipulate into doing his bidding.
Pages: Torn, white sheets of notebook paper with scribbled on words and images of The Operator. It’s a common misconception that collecting all of the pages will “beat” The Operator in his game.
The more pages an individual collects, the further they are lured into the forest, where eventually they will meet their fate. The Operator simply uses the pages as a distraction. The easiest way to escape, or win the “game” is to not touch the pages.
Side note: A concerningly large amount of The Operator’s surviving victims claim he’s rather polite and formal, despite being an intelligent and cunningly cruel entity. Some of these victims even went as far to say he’s “charming.”
Perhaps this is a new manifestation of the Slender Sickness.
More will be written about him eventually, as this is merely his ‘info’/background butttt
