La comunidad de audiovisual libre México y el HackerSpace Rancho Electrónico invitan al Encuentro Autogestivo de realizadores, artesanos, comunicadores, músicos, cineastas, artistas y promotores de la cultura libre. Comparte tu obra, imparte una plática o taller. El festival es organizado de forma colaborativa, no existen preselecciones ni curadurías.

El festival es una jornada para compartir creaciones, técnicas, herramientas e ideas agrupadas en los siguientes ejes temáticos:

Preproducción: procesos colaborativos, fondeo, proyectos comunitarios

Producción: software libre, hardware libre

Distribución/exhibición: licencias libres, plataformas abiertas, cineclubs, mediatecas

Diálogos: críticas, conceptos, categorías, manifiestos

SO WHAT IS THIS KINOKABARET YOU KEEP TALKING ABOUT?!

It’s hard to describe – basically a bunch of crazy people come together in the same place and start making movies together.

The whole thing starts with the production meeting on the first day, where everyone just introduces themselves – and the film you want to shoot for the first screening. Then you chat to everyone and basically start finding cool people you want to work with, talk about your ideas and then you’ll basically just start working on a movie together.

Everyone brings their own equipment, and then you start working together on a short film that you’ll present after roughly 60 hours, at a local cinema. The central hub for meeting other participants, editing, shooting, sound-recording will is called the KinoLAB. It’s open day and night for you to work on your film.
