First Impressions: Hatsune Miku Project DIVA F2nd
This little beauty came out some time ago and it joins the brigade of the recently obtained loot. Considering I have played the first game some time ago and gotten quite addicted, I was very pleased to see that the second installment has managed to be seen on shelves here and even better that I manage to get the game and at a bargain price of $23, you would not believe how elated I felt when I took this baby home. Considering I should one day do a review of the first game, I shall start with the second one for now. The game still follows the same rhythm of the first game. You play a song, master it and unlock new things as you progress. You have a lot more different songs compared to the first one and you can still visit the rooms of the vocaloids and befriend them. The customisation is still the same but has a new addition of being able to change the skin on the screen, which you do by unlocking them. You can now check what and how you can unlock things before choosing a song and it is very helpful, especially if you are only after a certain item. Gameplay is no different from the first one. Same with the graphics, which are a bit smoother but that is somewhat expected with the new game. The fun part is that you can transfer whatever you unlocked from the first game into the second, how lucky for those who manage to unlock everything in the first game. Which is quite the nice feature. It's sad that I do not have a lot to add since the second game is nearly a carbon copy of the first game with just better graphics and new content. This game is suited for die-hard rhythm gamers and Vocaloid fans.
First Impressions: Ultra Despair Girls: Danganronpa Another Episode
So I recently obtained this beauty on September 10th, since Australia is forever behind obtaining games, though I admit it has improved over the years but that is another topic altogether.
This game is mainly on the PS Vita and sort of stems away from it’s other titles in both genre and story telling, it is also more open, which is a nice change from the enclosure of the school.
Back to Ultra Despair Girls.Being a fan of Danganronpa, I bought this with a somewhat deluded idea that it was the same as 1 and 2 but I was wrong. This takes place some half a year after 1 and just before 2 where you control Makoto’s sister, Komaru Naegi, who has been imprisoned for over a year. So she is unaware of the events that has been occurring since her imprisonment.
Then one fateful day, a Monokuma tries to kill her but smashing his way into the room where she is. Here is when you take over the character for a little while and eventually, you are saved by an old character from Danganronpa 1. Here is where I will stop about the story.
The game itself has a great shit away from the visual novel aspect that 1 and 2 has and set itself up in a Third person shooter with a strong survival horror theme, which I enjoy immensely.
At first, since being use to the Japanese voices, I was irked by the English voices but after a while it has somewhat grown on me but not to the extent of enjoying it.
The story is proving to be very interesting and the themes are strong enough for me to form a solid opinion on it but the best part is, I like it, it is a theme that will intrigue people.
The game mechanics are a pain to get use to at first but after playing for more than half an hour, one would get them down pat no problem.
The game has not lost it’s puzzlle element as it brings in a Monokuma machine you can use to figure a way around hoards of Monokuma and allow you to sneak past them with ease. Other puzzles I have encountered involves players to check their environments and figure out clues from there. So for those who enjoyed the puzzle elements, it is here and it is much more complicated then the other games of the series, which is great for me.
First Impressions: Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX
Being a small Vocaloid fan, I procured yet another game dedicated to vocaloid and rhythm games where it involves a lot of jabbing at screens and trying to get past Great to earn more items to spoil little Vocaloids with, Kaito being my favourite. This little beauty was released on September 11th here in Australia, so I got this a few days after initial release since I had only obtained Ultra Despair Girls on release. Now, when it comes to these sort of games, it’s best to obtain them early cause they only seem to be in once and quickly snatched up by gamers like myself. Any search now for the game, in Australia, is out of stock. Though, this topic of opinion is for something I can do at a later date. Now onto the opinion of the game. Being a avid fan of rhythm games, I had to snatch it up before anyone else did, heck, I even asked the staff to hold it for a few days while I waited for payday to come around. (The staff at Narellan EB Games are saints. Pay them a visit sometime). Anyway, being excited as I was, I looked at the game and AR cards that came with it and it gave me a great idea of what songs to expect and a few personal favourites being on this game which weren’t on the others. A few being The World is Mine, Amatsu Kitsune, Senbonzakura, Electric Love and 1, 2, Fanclub as a few to name. So, when I got to a quite place, I got round to playing it. The game starts off easy enough with the options of buttons, for those who play them on the Playstation systems and the stylus, for those who prefer to jab a screen, this is good for those who played games like Theatrhythm on the 3DS. Since being a fan of the Stylus option, I used that and boy was it much easier for me. I got the hang of the game quickly and the music was amazing but not as much as the chibi style video clips the game has in the background of every song. Which I admit, distracted me more often then not and caused me to retry songs. It doesn’t take long to sucked into the game and unlocking all the songs and being left at the end hoping for more. So the replay value is based on how much you want to obtain everything and being perfect. If that’s how you play, I promise tyou, this game will make you play it till your blue in the face. It’s fun, simple and a lovely game to play. Being a sucker for chibi characters, this game is pretty much a pinnacle in my gaming collection in regards to gameplay, music and art design. I recommend people who love rhythm games, handheld lovers and perfectionists to have a go at this bundle of cute yet energetic game.

Plans and Rambles

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - Chapter 1: The Penal Colony
So I procured this game some time ago and I finally got round to playing it between study and life. This is my first impressions.
So, you start off with Claire and Moira. The intro only gave so much and the next thing you know, you are trapped in a prison. Unsure of where you are and why you are there but you do have a trusty bracelet with a voice that somewhat mocks and educates you.Â
The mechanics of the game is simple, to a degree. You can switch between Claire and Moira and exploit their unique skills, such as Claire’s markmanship and Moira’s flashlight.
The enemies are a bit of a pain and you need to rely more on shooting weak points, they are not always their heads. This also applies to when you play as the other two characters.
The point of this chapter in Claire’s case is to escape the prison and find some help. After a lot of learning to play and backtracking with little direction, you manage to get out and find a radio tower. Which is great, considering here you find out you are trapped on a fricken island (code Veronica much).
Then you switch over to Barry, whose goal is to save Moira. Here you meet Natalia who is more than what she seems.
She is, personally, the most helpful character in the whole game. she can see where the enemies are, I mean, how bloody awesome is that. So, after going through the prison, again, you manage to also take an even longer route to the radio tower, but big news awaits you there.
That is the gist of chapter 1.
I personally like the build up for the next chapter and what this whole game contains and I look forward to playing more at a later time.
Update #1
A few things have been updated since this blog is being dragged from the grave after a few years being incredibly inactive.
Lets list the changes: » Tag Page has been added and will update monthly, depending on the amount of posts made. » A member has returned and updated their information. » Theme got a long deserved makeover. » Two members are no longer active » Reviews will be put under the review tag from now on, if you want a certain members review look for their name in tags.
That is all so far.
I am somewhat serious about what I am about to say.
Dear Gamers. I am a Old Hoxton fan and I would love for all you to sign, reblog and do anything to make this happen. I will, while intoxicated, write a fanfic about Old Hoxton returning and post it for all to see. That and I want more awesome DLC for a fan favourite. That's if this succeeds. It will be funny.
So sign up and help out a fellow gamer.

The game industry doesn’t want female characters. That is allegedly the message publishers have been sending to developers.
it has begun (look at date)
