Umar and Isla were young lovers. It was something that their parents forbid for the longest time, especially since Umar was supposed to find a woman and marry her before creating a family. The two of them dated in secret at first but then Isla became pregnant and they didn't know what to do. They decided that instead of going to their parents, Umar and Isla fled from France and went to Toronto.
They gave birth to Hunter and they didn't even name her before they decided that they needed to give her up because they wanted to make sure that she was raised by people who wee ready and mature enough to be parents. It was probably the smartest decision that the young couple made but they regret it at times because they went on to have other kids, but felt like they had given up on what helped them remain together, Hunter.
While another couple were visiting Toronto, they had found Hunter who was now eight months old. They fell in love with her smile and they decided that they wee going to adopt her and bring her home. It was a process to get Hunter to be a citizen of the US but they were able to do it and they loved her every step of the way.
Hunter was the perfect older sibling to all of her younger siblings. She took care of them the same way that her parents did and they could always trust her with them. The hardest day of her life was when she decided to leave home and go to school to become a teacher. She was gone for five years, coming home on all of her breaks though.
After graduating college, she went on to become a high school english teacher and she thought that she was going to want to become a college professor but it never happened for her. She ended up marrying a man who took some control over her. Fuck this entire night. Somehow Bellamy had managed to avoid thinking about that stupid man since coming back. Sure, every so often the Beauchamp name would pop up on some stupid ass poster but a lot of the time Bellamy could brush it off and ignore it. But seeing his dad so publicly making an ass of himself reminded him off all the times he wasn't good enough in that man's eyes. He'd never been good enough. Never would be good enough.
Shamefully, all Bellamy wanted to do was get drunk. Thankfully, he was already at Afterglow. Afterglow was a place that Dillon tended to visit frequently. He liked to go there and have some time to drink and dance. He liked to let loose and feel the beat through his bones. Especially since Dillon liked doing karaoke, he was always wanting to sing all the words to the songs that he heard playing in the club but he didn't want to come off as being too wild or someone who was out of control, though it was him having fun.
After having some time in the crowd, Dillon headed to the bar so that he could get himself a drink before he looked over at someone who seemed to be throwing back some drinks and then filling up the glass himself. "You alright over there? Do you need some company? I don't want you going too crazy there."

Dillon was born into a family where everyone was willing to help one another out. They were close with each other but the connection that was the most obvious throughout the family was the connection that Dillon had with his mom, Penelope. She wasn't sure what it was when she gave birth to Dillon, maybe it was that she almost lost him, but there was a specific connection with him that she couldn't quite identify.
Both parents loved all of their kids and they never made any of them feel less loved but it was just apparent. He was spending a lot of time in the kitchen at a young age with her cooking and baking different dishes. It got to a point where they were expecting nothing but perfection at family parties whatever the Loverson family was providing.
High school wasn't horrible for Dillon, but he also didn't have the easiest time. He was the star guy in choir and had all of the solos because of how amazing his voice was. He was happy that he didn't have to worry about going into the music world because that was something that's passionate to him so he could focus on cooking and creating a career out of that.
When Dillon went off to college, he was living the best time of his life because he had joined a fraternity where he was accepted and he had a lot of similar interest with them. He was amazing in his class, not the top of the class because he wasn't the best in a classroom setting but he was certainly the best when it came to the lab classes. It was coming down to the finals of his last class and his family hadn't told him what had happened to his mother and he was so excited to call her when he finished and realized he would be graduating.
Graduating towards the top of his class, he was offered a lot of different jobs but Dillon decided he was going to return home. He needed to be with his family. He knew that most people would flee with how close he was with his mother, but he always put his family first.
