I can’t even begin to describe how good this video is (the song ain’t too shabby either). There’s about 50 different amazing things that could all be their own video all coming together perfectly. The choreography is phenomenal, the treatment and story are top notch, and sting’s hammy acting is Oscar-worthy. The song also has a unique backstory - Sting originally wrote it for a Kirin commercial (Japanese beer), but liked it so much that he put it on an album. There’s an alternate version (linked below) that appeared on the “Fields of Gold” (1994) greatest hits compilation which I think is the original version and features Eric Clapton on guitar. It’s a good version but it lacks the funk, pizazz and overly polished production of this version. I greatly prefer this version but check out the alternate, especially if you’re a Clapton fan. Oh and Annie Lennox is supposedly singing bg vox, as if there weren’t enough big names already involved.
