BASEMENT - Covet Basement have announced that they will be splitting up after the release of a new album and winter tour. So a lot of sadness has spread around the Basement fans. King Krule (Archy Marshall) has been out in the U.S touring about for a while and since been back in the UK has dissapeared to work on a new ep with Rejjie Snow. Ever since Black Hymn Records released their VOL 1 I have been obsessively listening to Sangam. BHR also released "We Cotched Under The Stars" EP which was ridiculously sick. This is a track Sangam has produced with Bruised Skies a 17 year old from Coventry who has some serious talent. Egyptian Hip Hop are back in full form. Earlier today they posted this their new track from the new album "Good Don't Sleep" which is due out in late October. Oddly they are releasing it through R&S records who do a lot of releases for producers like James Blake, Airhead etc which leads me to believe this album will be a dancey dubby vibe. RETRAL & EPLP - 2012 Night Tracks have recently interviewed the producer  Retral, where in which he discusses his latest work as a producer and co-founder of the label "Black Hymn Records". He also treats the Night Tracks blog to a new track he has worked on with EPLP. JAMIE THORN & THE MYSTERY PACIFIC - Shorthand A few years ago, I was in my college and I was introduced to a guy called Jamie Thorn. Now he had several songs on the go and was planning on starting a band and doing live shows. Over the last year he and his band The Mystery Pacific have  recorded one ep and just finished another. MAUNDRIE FOX - I Miss Now when I first heard this track, I thought this was to be some sort of "Spanish Sahara" remix purely for the chords in the first couple of seconds.
