Never before had he been in love, his affection and his desire carried all the fire of a first love, yet his age and character gave it a steadiness that first loves rarely possess. He could think of nothing but Clark, and it took all his good judgment and his focus on the mission to temper those feelings that could end in catastrophe.

I've been a writer on AO3 for a few years and I've noticed that people don't really leave comments (at least on my fics) I allow guests to comment, still nothing but bots. I write for me and that's makes my happy, but I genuinely miss engaging with people who enjoy how I write. It brightens my day to see what people think of my work, It's really nice. And I always answer quickly and a lot, but I don't even get answers to what they tell me or ask me, hmm. And when I saw a comment, good or bad, it makes me want to sit down and write much more; it's what makes me update even faster. My new works have more kudos than my old works (because I publish in a language other than my own, and still, nothing) and yet I haven't received more than four comments, In an eleven thousand word update. I've published chapters that haven't received a single one. And I wonder if anyone actually reads it. Ao3 has become a little anti social and it makes me really sad. Anyone else feeling the same way?

He’s stubborn, he thought, so darn stubborn. Like a rock that had decided moving would be a concession. And yet, a faint curve tugged at his mouth. Because if Bruce was stubborn… Clark was even more.

Clark leaned back against one of the trees and let the summer air of Smallville fill his lungs, slowly. He didn’t need to do it, but it helped him think.
