Uncle, how to get to the beautiful country?Ā by Xiaoyu Wang
Audio Drama Sunday - 2nd August āØ
š¦ @remnantspod (54) Oh, damn, this episode got me even more than usual! How stunning: the poetry, the description of niqab, the scene in the hospital, Elio, Rachel. I listened to this on the way into work and was just emotionally floored by the time I got there. I really got a sense of healing from this remnant, a recognition of how people had been hurt by EP, but also how they found community and family in the wake of his life. So much to sit with and unpack here!Ā
āļø @eelerschoice (12) Eelerās finale! What a thoroughly enjoyable episode! I felt it did such a good job of tying up everyoneās arcs this season and I was especially thrilled for Nama! š¬ļø Again, I thought the action scenes were beautifully executed and I could really feel the heart of the show shining through in the resolution of the series!!Ā
š§ @hinaypod (89) Ohh, itās so sad to spell out the misunderstanding around Mariās connection to the Mambabarang and how itās still affecting the people she left behind at home ā¹ļø It is nice that itās (?sheās) still keeping the police out of her local area though! It must be so hard to hear loved ones fearing for her safety about something that she created! āIntercessorsā is such a fun word for Michael and Lori!Ā
āŖļø Forgive Me (2.05 - 2.07) St Patricks continues to deliver a lighthearted giggle or two! Iāve never attended a Thanksgiving dinner before, but this ep didnāt really sell it to me š I loved hearing from Clara again! She is a fave of mine!Ā
š @storiesfromylelmore (204) This might be my favourite SFY episode so far! I adoreddddd Kerythās PI bit (and what a talent to be able to voice someone pretending to voice someone else!) and I canāt fault the logic of being sure to finish first. It *is* always the Dame, I hope by sharing this unflattering part of their past, Elas is able to progress forwards in a less puce manner!Ā
šµ @desertskiespodcast (26) This Inter State episode had one of the best cold openings of the season. āThe desire is growwwinnngg. The desire is subsiding. . . Now it is growing againā - SO funny. The ep was a lovely blend of nostalgia and healing. But what an ending! I fear Evil Jennifer Coolidge has returned!!Ā
šĀ Donāt Tell Alice (1,8) oooh I love the notion of Praxis as an ongoing network of community and support! These people have been indelibly changed and theyāre still willing to help make things better! We finally meet the person behind the murders and⦠theyāre human?! I think Keisha has her hands full hereā¦Ā
Have a good week! I especially canāt wait to spend a long commute with Our Wars Have Ended! š

Hello everyone, Happy Audio Drama Sunday! I am behind on listening thanks to yesterday being the first of the month, but what a nice thing to go into the week with Kakos and Night Vale and Calling All Adventurers to listen to!
š My first audio drama comes from an unexpected quarterāthereās this nonfiction show called First America that tells American history with indigenous history added back in, and one of the things they did this week was run a contest for Native American young folks to write stories about indigenous futures. And then they took one of those stories and made it into audio drama on the show. And it made me cry. I highly recommend the show in general, but I love when nonfiction shows get really into their creativity like this.
āļø This episode of @eelerschoice!!!! Iām so proud of literally everyone, particularly Nama. I really love how Eelerās Choice is a show about environmental consequences, but itās also a show about becoming better, growing. I adore the way these action sequences wrapped up the seasonāthat sound design amirite???āand I canāt wait to see what happens next.
š„© MEAT IS BACK ON THE MENU, @thegospelofhaven is back!!! This seasonās structure is so interestingāthe multi-perspective thing has always worked great for The Gospel of Haven, and adding an element of time difference is going to be fascinating. Kale Brown is always a great time, but Iām especially excited for the additions of Nhea Durousseau and Jordan Cobb. Iām ALSO psyched about the book!!! The novelization!!!! Where is the link??? Get me in there.
š» At this point I just expect @theredactedunit to never miss, and the way they used this weekās crossover ep as an opportunity to explore the life of fan fave Lucas was both smart and excellent. Iām kind of obsessed with the background story of the Eli time loop in this episodeāthat tiny repetition (and Lucasā mental distance from it) hits hard. Lucas is not my type of poor little meow meow, but I did love this episode. Redacted knows its characters.
Thatās all for me! See ya next week.

Monstrous Agonies is a fiction podcast that captures the weekly advice segment on the UK's only dedicated radio station for creatures of the night š»š„°

A late-night radio advice show for monsters
A butter-voiced English narrator so soothing they have literally sent people to sleep (take care if listening while driving!)
Now complete at three seasons, there's over 100 episodes to binge, with additional bonus eps, bloopers and end-of-season Q&As
Full transcripts for every episode, linked in the show-notes
Average episode length of 10-15 minutes (can you tell it was made by someone with ADHD... š)
Monsters as a metaphor for marginalisation
Monsters as not-a-metaphor-at-all - sometimes a sentient tapeworm is just a sentient tapeworm
Asexual vampires! Gay werewolves! Trans lizard ladies! If it can be queer, by God it will be queer!
Funny ha-ha!
Also, funny like āwait, are they eating people?ā
Variously described as,Ā āeldritch late-night Radio Fourā,Ā āfun and full of loveā, and ālike a warm hug from a creature with one too many arms
If that sounds like your cup of tea, search for 'Monstrous Agonies' on your podcatcher of choice and give us a listen! š§š
I adore this podcast. Funny, witty, helpful, validating, queer, and soothing... Wish it would have kept going for a decade.

Pray tell, what is a podcast diary?
(No sarcasm)
My podcast diary is where I keep a list of all of my audio dramas and (non) fiction podcasts. When i started listening to a lot more audio drama and realised one doc wasn't going to cut it anymore, i realised that i should convert it to keep track of the statuses and the number of podcasts I've listened to! As a bit of fun of course. Here's the picture of my most recent pages (and a long winded answer):
It's super handy for me so i know which podcasts i need to finish and its also super fun to customise!! I have them numbered and also have a little status box and descriptor. These are the ones i use most of the time (they change for audio drama and 'ye old regular' non-fiction podcast:
I've also collected random stickers across the years which is what my main intro page (as well as info in case it gets lost). I love how its grown over the years and its a little reflection of who i am!
I also have a little Hall Of Fame page at the very beginning for the podcasts I truly adore, have helped me grow/had a significant impact in my life, or just had a really outatanding production/engineering/acting quality it! (I haven't added The Patient Files or Parthenos yet but I will soon - just... imagine they are there also).
I also used to do monthly "podcasts of the month/ media of the month" but i do that in my own time and at the end of the year as a little "wrapped"/yearly review for myself which includes: podcast for each month, how many (new) pods i have listened to, and my top five from my own podcatcher! Here is my first entry:
This is just a little thing i came up with - I'm sure i didnāt invent it but i haven't seen it anywhere else... I love it so much and it of my prised possessions. So if anyone is interested and has a weird spare journal hanging around and you're an audio drama fan - go for it!! It's so much fun and it helps me stay creative when i have writers/artists block.
------------------------------------------------
Sorry this was super long, I'm just very passionate š . I hope i answered your question and showed you something new! Keep listening!
