Chilling interview with Zachary Davis, who, at 15-years-old brutally bludgeoned his mother to death with a sledgehammer. On 10 August, 2012, Zachary entered the bedroom of his 46-year-old mother, Melanie, while she slept and bludgeoned her with a sledgehammer 12 times. He then set fire to the house with his older brother, Josh, sleeping inside. He then fled the scene. His older brother managed to escape the blaze, much to Zachary’s dismay - he later said “I would probably kill Josh with a sledgehammer too.” Zachary hastily confessed to the brutal murder -  “I killed Melanie and left Josh alone to suffer… I didn’t feel anything… I didn’t feel remorse… My only true regret was that I didn’t give her a faster death. I didn’t want her to suffer.” He reported  that his brother Josh had raped him but and investigation found no evidence to support this claim and he was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Rod Ferrell was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole after killing his friend Heather Wendorf’s  parents with  Howard Scott Anderson in 1996. Other accomplices to the crime where Charity Keesee (rod’s girlfriend) and Dana Cooper. Dana and Charity where sentenced to prison for 10 1/2 years while Scott got life in prison.

Long before she was The Black Dahlia, she was arrested for underage drinking in 1943. Her mug shot would become one of the most famous photos of her.

Earle Leonard Nelson, aka The Gorilla Killer (The Dark Strangler)  was an American serial killer.It is believed that he killed 22 or more victims.Earle was born May 12, 1897, started killing in 1926–June, 1927 where he was caught and arrested in Canada.His trial began on November 1, 1927,although Nelson’s lawyer attempted to portray Earle as mentally ill and not responsible for his crimes, the jury found Nelson guilty and sentenced him to death. He was executed by hanging on January 13, 1928.

At the time, Lavinia was considered to be truly evil and was hanged at the Old Charleston Jail in 1820. As if she wasn’t creepy enough, her last words were: “If any of you have a message for the devil, tell me now- for I will be seeing him in a moment.”

Next, she turned her attention on Alana. She retrieved a razor from the bathroom and slit the throat and wrists of her eldest daughter. As Alana lay in a pool of her own blood, Jessica fled from the hotel in her car. The horrific scene was soon discovered by hotel cleaners. Miraculously, Alana was still clinging to life and revealed that it was her own mother who had attacked her and killed her sister. Thankfully, Alana made a full recovery from her wounds and Jessica was tracked down two days later. After pleading guilty, she was sentenced to life imprisonment. 

The Thurston High School shooting took place on May 21, 1998. Expelled student Kip Kinkel first murdered his parents before engaging in a school shooting at Thurston High School  in Springfield,Oregon that left two students dead and 25 others wounded.Though he was 15, Kinkel was certified to be tried as an adult. He’d initiated an insanity defense, but dropped it and pled guilty to four counts of first-degree murder and twenty-five counts of attempted murder. He is serving a 111-year sentence without the possibility of parole.

Over 700 male death row inmates reside in one large cell block in the only facility in the state that houses them. The facility overlooks the San Francisco Bay, but due to its high walls, inmates are unable to see the multi-million dollar skyline.
