        He’s on edge around this entire place, and no one could blame him really ( well except for the mikaelsons. they’d probably find a way to blame him. ) after basically being FORCED to stay here, having been bitten by the original hybrid himself, and had to work the poison out of his system since he never got the cure and instead been magically bound to Elijah so he wouldn’t literally DIE. He still felt weak, regaining his strength, but at least the hallucinations stopped.

       Which, yay, death is a good thing to avoid - but he’d much rather go back to when everyone didn’t know he even existed. Much simpler. But since he was STUCK here, he might as well play nice so they didn’t get sick of their new toy; as Klaus had so eloquently put it.

          why was she even surprised? “or you can return with a car, that’s an actual rage under teenager y’know.” okay so, yeah she was using this situation in a way she could benefit from but in her defense; he probably won’t fall for it anyway, and even if so, HE started it. and it wasn’t an actual lie, it’s just.. usually teenagers get such gifts for like, birthdays or something. a fact that’s not important for this situation, obviously.

              Oh damn, it’s like talking to a mini Elijah – just a less subtle one. Since when is Leah the one to go to for advice anyway? “Yes, well, DEPENDS.” Arms come to cross over her chest as she observes her, face unreadable. “If what you want is to punch your dad in the face – yeah, maybe not the nicest. But there’s a difference between going out of your way to hurt them and making a decision that MIGHT do just that; especially if that decision is what’s best for you.” Jewel might not realize it yet but at the end of the day, it’s her against the world. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being selfish.

   “I don’t want to punch my dad!” The mere idea is enough to put a horrified note in her tone. “Sure he can be UNBEARABLY protective sometimes-” all the time “- but I don’t want to hit him! It’s not like that.” Really, it’s not that big of a deal - or at least it shouldn’t be. She keeps thinking it over and over and over and it’s grown into an issue she doesn’t know how to control. It’s not THAT BAD - but at the same time, it’s the worst possible thing she could ever imagine.
