you can call me Versa (any pronouns)! I'm a twenty-something paralegal from south Texas currently living in Pennsylvania. I'm also a full-time college student, a foster parent, a baseball fan, and a country music enthusiast.

Rumors of my death were greatly exaggerated.

So I got home from the hospital today! I’m really glad to be back in my own bed, but my parents are driving me absolutely fucking crazy.

I made out of the accident with a broken pelvis, a broken hand, bruised, lungs, a concussion, and road rash. All things considered, I’m very very lucky to be alive. The friends who watched me get run over thought they had watched him kill me. on top of that, my friend who is eight months pregnant was also hit by the car. She was not run over like me. The baby and my friend are both perfectly fine, though my friend has a pretty severe concussion with five staples and three stitches in her head. 

I’m definitely still processing this. I haven’t talked to many people about it, even my boyfriend who is there, because it just feels like such a scary thing to be talking about. I have a therapist appointment tomorrow, and I’m hoping we can get a head start on working through it.

So I made out with minor injuries after getting run over. All things considered I’m super super lucky. I have two broken fingers on my left hand, two minor, pelvic fractures, a bruised lung, a male concussion, and some pretty good road rash (see pictures).

i’m finally allowed to get out of bed, and put some weight on my pelvic fractures. It doesn’t hurt as bad as I expected to! I have a walker to use, a special kind since I can’t put weight on my left hand (because it’s broken).

They got me up and walking around, and they hope to send me home tomorrow/today depending on how I feel. I’ve mostly been sleeping, so I think they’ll have other tests for me to do before I can go home.
