jun quietly murmured as he stared out the car window. minghao was driving, and speeding at that. he was going at 80 miles per hour, way over the speed limit of 50 miles an hour. they were lucky the roads were isolated.
the ride was getting awkward as time passed by. minghao had just came back from an argument with one of his close friends, resulting in a nearly broken out fight. just to avoid any mishaps, jun and another friend of his had to hold them back.
jun stared blankly out the window, rain pouring and hitting the glass. the atmosphere and weather of the world was perfectly aligned with the emotional turmoils occurring inside both of them. he pondered for a while before finally mustering up the courage to speak.
âminghao, donât you think trying to fight him was a bit too⊠much?â he asked cautiously, aware of the fact minghao might burst out in anger at him. to both his surprise and concern, minghao simply muttered a âyes,â and didnât elaborate.
jun couldnât help but stare at the rearview mirror, giving him a partially blocked view of minghao. as the ride dragged on, he began to feel guilt at not being able to comfort him at the moment.
as scenes and possible futures began to pop up in his head, his brain began to mentally shut down. jun's eyes began to flutter shut, slowly but surely causing him to doze off.
whilst ordering their pastries, jun mustered up the courage to confront and comfort minghao. "... minghao-ya, i know it's hard to deal with all of that, but if they keep on treating you like this, it won't get better," he spoke with a sweet tone.
"... i see what you mean, but they really meant so much to me. i'm too far gone and too attached," minghao admitted, sipping his tea while petting the persian. jun nodded in agreement, attachment is a generally difficult mindset.
"i totally get it, hao. but please, i want you to at least try, you don't have to pressure yourself!" he added as minghao gave him a slight squint of the eyes. he chuckled and smiled at jun.
"i guess so, maybe i'll try to get rid of this habit," he responded. jun smiled brightly, seeing his best friend happy made him feel joyous too. the day went on well, with the texture of cats and bread.
after paying, minghao was coming up with other places they could go to. however, noticing that jun was close to falling asleep, he ended up just taking him back to their apartment, hoping that life will get better for the both of them, and to stay together forever.
i took a break from discord but my mood is so shitty i think im staying on tumblr more often

as for my day, itâs been alright! pretty slow and i think the summer break boredom is getting to me. but i got a ton of academic enrollment stuff done, so thatâs good. iâve also been chipping away at some inspo board work for future fic ideas iâve got jostling around
ayy i'm glad to hear it's been alright! summer break is that one thing you wish for and then it turns out to be so boring :') and more fic ideas... that's awesome...
other than how i feel, i've been amazing actually! i finally got back into gaming AND i'm finally starting on the junhao fic

i've been playing this roblox game called phighting! i'm not necessarily good at it, but i have gotten quite a few kills and skins lolol... and yes... mwhehehe...

Youâd been rotting all day, feeling heavy for no particular reason. Itâs not that anything bad happened; it was just one of those days when you wanted to cry. Like you woke up, and the world decided that happiness wasnât on your radar for the foreseeable future.Â
When you hear Chan come back from practice, you feel the day's fatigue quickly catch up to you. Lifting yourself from bed, you trudge down the hall and around the corner to find him taking off his shoes. His hair falls in his face, and you can see the little bit of sweat beading across his forehead from dancing. The hoodie he left the house in this morning is now discarded, tossed over his shoulder. You shift slightly from where you stand, the floorboards creaking underneath you.
Chan lifts his head to smile and say hello, but it immediately falters. âHey baby, you okay?â
All you can manage is shaking your head ânoâ. It takes your boyfriend all but ten seconds to finish taking off his shoes and cross over to you. The second his arms are around you, you bury your face in his chest and finally cry. Chan quietly runs his fingers through your hair, just letting you feel and be in the moment. Heâs always like that: just a steady, constant figure for you. Always strong when you canât seem to be.Â
As your crying slows, you pull away, wiping the tears from your cheeks. Chan presses a soft kiss to your forehead.Â
âDo you want to talk about it?â He asks quietly. Heâs tucking your hair behind your ears, giving you space to speak if you feel inclined.Â
You lift your eyes to meet his gaze. âThereâs nothing to talk about. Iâm just sad. I donât know. It feels silly.â
âNo.â He shakes his head quickly. âNot silly. Sometimes feelings just work that way. What do you want to do to feel better? Comfort food and a movie?â
You sniffle, then wrap your arms around him. He rubs your back lovingly, as you think about what to do.Â
âI guess ramyeon sounds good.â You mumble into his shirt. âCan we just eat and lie in bed?â
âYou bet.â He replies, giving you another quick kiss on the top of your head. âWe can do anything youâd like. Let me shower, and Iâll get started on the food. Okay?â
When you donât budge, Chan laughs lightly. âYouâre not going to let me go, huh?â
âNot yet.â You reply, lifting your head to meet his gaze.Â
He smiles warmly, pressing his lips gently against yours.Â
âDonât worry,â he hums. âIâm here. Iâm not going anywhere.âÂ
