To your lonesome folly

He stopped breathing for a moment, drinking in Kouji’s every word like holy water he had found after wandering an eternal desert. His eyes lit up with a bloodthirsty glint within otherwise cold, dead irises. And then slowly, a crooked grin overtook him, as he thrilled with the prospect of a fight. “Yes,” he breathed. “Let’s.”

Data streams, dark and littered with gaps, swirled slowly around him to herald the corrupted human spirit of darkness, Duskmon, who slashed through the transformation with crooked blood blades. He couldn’t care less if Kouji had the time to transform or not. Simply being able to fight his brother was too enticing a prospect to leave alone. So soon, he charged.

He didn't have the time for a full transformation. Kouji summoned the code for his two sabers, streaming out of the digivice and into his hands, materializing as two metallic rods that shot a blade of concentrated light. Kouji raised one light saber horizontal in the air, placing it at the level where he could see it cutting across Duskmon's neck.

"Attack, Kouji!" Wolfmon ordered. He could feel the spirit's rabid rage wanting to attack Duskmon with pure hatred. His spirit and his brother - they shared the mutual desire to fight the other while Kouji was merely in the middle, methodically performing his duty as a warrior. It didn't matter to either side, especially not for Duskmon and his host. As far as anyone was concerned, he and Wolfmon were one.

         "God, it’s freezing out here." She mumbled under her breath, hugging herself as she stood outside a small shop in town. She needed something specific for one of her siblings from it, but unfortunately it closed right when she got there.

While his eyes were set straight at the sidewalk, he caught sight of a figure on the ground, huddled against the wall. Kouji maintained his eyes on the figure and stopped upon reaching her.

Hmmm.

Oh well. It wasn't as if he had issues with it. Kouji took out his wallet and pulled out a one thousand yen bill, handing it out to the girl.

He was angry because Aqua and the Master never asked his side of the story—never gave him a chance to explain what happened nor his feelings on the matter. They assumed the worst of him, when all he was trying to do was give them his all and prove that he could beat the darkness that threatened his heart.

Darkness. Terra stopped in his tracks, standing near the water fountain just outside the castle’s walls. His jaw clenched as he looked at his hands, seeing nothing there but an invisible darkness swimming in wake. It’s because of the darkness that all of this happened. Maleficent wouldn’t have made me take Aurora’s heart had I been stronger—No, he couldn’t think like that. Master Eraqus had given him valuable advice—to not be so obsessed with winning this internal battle.

But what did he know about having the darkness in one’s heart?

"You’re no better than the darkness if you take your anger out on others." He whispered to himself, shaking his head and lowering his hands, finally. You have to keep whatever light you do have in your heart…or it’ll be lost. He looked around his surroundings, looking out for any possible eyes before he decided to depart from this world. He lifted his arm to punch the middle of his shoulder armor, until he saw the black gates a short distance away. He saw a figure standing by the end of the bridge.

"Mm." He glanced back at the sea. "It feels nice here."

If asked, he wouldn't know what he meant by what he just said, but it felt like it was the most accurate way he could put it. He didn't think too much about it or if at all. Kouji shrugged and pocketed his hands in his jacket.

"It's strange though," he said out loud, not talking to the man in particular. "I wonder if I'm in the right place." He surveyed his surrounding high and low like a tourist as he walked up to the gates.

He didn't really doubt it; it was Wolfmon's idea to come here but ironically, it was him who didn't end up coming. Wolfmon really despised the method of transportation - the only option for them - to get here, so he'd left Kouji to go alone out of pride. Kouji was fine with that, but now he had to roam around acting like a detective, trying to solve the mystery of his search.

He stopped right before the man, still swiveling his head around, when his eyes slightly widened in surprise. He found it. He thinks he did anyway. Kouji's head slowly turned up front, staring at the man shamelessly and unblinkingly as if noticing him for the first time. Then, his mouth dropped agape.

I’m a new indie digimon oc, and was wondering if there were any people out there who wanted to roleplay or start a thread with me. I’ll accept any fandom roleplay blog out there; canon or another oc.

Welcome to the Dark Digidestined

For every light, there is a darkness to balance it. Here, that darkness has claimed dominance over the light. Here, the heroes aren’t the ones you think you know. Here, these digidestined have become stronger, better and darker than before. 

Don’t misunderstand, everything that’s dark isn’t evil, just as everything that is light isn’t good. The real challenge is thriving within the darkness without losing yourself. Think you have what it takes to control the darkness, and not let it consume you? We’ll see about that.
