I want it to be more normal for people to admit they found their self love through a relationship. Of course we should have our own identity and will independently of relationships. But I think its ok to admit that you realized your importance and agency through love. The difficult thing is once you realize you have it, you can sustain it even when you’re by yourself. I think it’s ok to acknowledge the affect that love can have on your life and the way it changes you but know that your love for yourself flourished because you realized that one of the many forms of love is possible.
