a lot of people are open to critiques of psychiatry until medication is brought up, and I think in this case that it's important to remember while some people have the experience of being denied medication they need, others are overmedicated or improperly medicated which leads to even more health issues long-term. I find that a lot of people who are antipsych I come across have experiences with involuntary treatment for psychosis such as myself. many people simply do not see psychotic patients as deserving of any sort of autonomy in the first place, and this is quite unfortunate given that such an approach reinforces delusions and creates distrust

The human body has so many random kill switches and major design flaws. Sometimes our teeth explode when they’re badly infected and this can kill us.

I love body horror, but body horror will never be as bad as the actual human body

The most horrifying part is that your own body will betray you in horrifying ways and this is something you can do everything in your power to prevent and still experience. No slasher, no monster, no supernatural evil, your appendix could explode for no particular reason, your immune system might begin attacking and destroying you, your cells may begin growing uncontrollably and incorrectly. Mad fucked up.
