Ya, the first post of the Dash was an elt edit and I wasn't really gonna go with the streetlight background. But I said screw it and made the original an alt edit..? Sure why not!

Back in 2014, whenever I completed the original painting of this general idea, I hated it even before uploading it and was never happy with it ever since. But now, I feel like I finally did it justice. I also learned what a Dutch Angle was in the process of repainting this lol

Oh...hi there, tumblr. Long time no visit. Dunno how many of you remember the little series I did. But it's been on my mind lately, and I've been wanting to remake them. 2013 was a rough year. And 2020 hasn't really been all that great (shocker, huh?). I guess I've never really been satisfied with the originals, but after a few years of practice & doing the whole college painting thing, I feel like I've gotten a little better at this whole art thing? The original 2013 piece took me about a week, whereas this remake took less than 24 hours. Felt good. I really want to remake the others in this series.

Gosh...tumblr sure has been quiet. It’s been a month since I last bothered to log back in to any of my accounts. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who’s commissioned me these past 6-7 months and helping me keep afloat! It’s been great to get back into digital art again and familiarizing myself with painting in photoshop especially. And I plan to reopen some more commission slots in a week or two. There’s a bit of cosplay stuff I wanna tackle for a bit to try and start off 2020 with something new. Anyways...post-undergrad life has been...weird.  My social life is pretty much dead. Still living at home. No luck in finding job prospects that suit my major or skills with art/propmaking in my area. And the thought of working a fast food job or stupid Wal-Mart in my area just brings me down. 2019 has been the loneliest year I’ve had this entire decade. It feels like its impossible to get anywhere in life without roommate(s) or a significant other for a helping hand at getting anywhere. But I’m trying my best to just get by. And I’m seriously grateful for the commission work. It’s given me that drive to improve my art and try out new things I’ve always been kind of bad at like landscapes/backgrounds, anthro characters, and refreshing my hand & eye at people again. I want to do my best to give clients what they want. I guess I don’t really have any big resolutions for 2020 other than improving in art, cosplay/propmaking, and learning how to use LEDs in projects? Or try and rebuild some kind of social life? I dunno.. Anywho, take care y’all! And here’s to a new year & a new decade!
