He was falling down past cliffs , barren and EMPTY -- destroyed by lack of rain and endless years of disappointment .
As he fell , there was a reflection -- a tall , dark creature with horns as reaching towards him , as if to snatch him from the air . Just as he was about to land on the hand that caught him --

He CRASHED to the ground , slamming [ [ v i o l e n t l y ] ] onto lush , green grass . His head heavy and hazy as he pushed himself onto all fours . Tired eyes blinked at the new scenery . He was surrounded by . . . [ [ f l o w e r s ] ] ? He looked around , they were roses , red as blood with thorns sharper than any blade . Ven’s blue eyes landed on the black fabric in front of him .

Cautiously , Ven tilted his head back following the form of figure until he landed on a pair of familiar green eyes . They were not [ [ w a r m ] ] , as they often were when they looked in his direction . They were COLD , [ [ h a r s h ] ] . . .
With the blade of a weapon coming face to face with the blonde’s nose .
He rose to his feet , squinting his eyes in curiosity . Vines from the neighbouring flowers [ [ t w i s t e d ] ] around his ankles as he started to take a step forward . He reached a hand out towards the man , hoping for salvation .
As the slash through the air pierced straight through Ven , practically slicing him into two , perfect halves .
The boy fell until he was ENGULFED by the roses beneath him , plunging him into darkness .

Now he lays still , on a throne of dark enchantments are tainted light . He was frozen inside , lost with no one to wake him up . A [ [ t h o u s a n d ] ] years of sleep , not opening his eyes to EVERYTHING around him .
Meanwhile , beyond the safety of his rapidly crumbling imagination , beads of sweat were lining his forehead beneath his blonde bangs . His eyes were squeezed shut TIGHT while his fingers clutched to the bedding beneath him life a lifeline .
He brokenly spoke in his sleep as tears trickled beneath his dirty - blonde eyelashes . Panicked , Chirithy tried to wake Ven up but to no avail . He attempted to eat his dreams , but nothing was working .
Ven , was finally waking up .
CHAINS hoisted Ven into the air as darkness [ [ s w i r l e d ] ] around him .
Hazy eyes looked down at the silver-haired version of his brother , golden eyes PIERCING through him with the intent of ending him . Tighter the chains WRAPPED around his frame , squeezing him into nothing before he was hurled toward the ground all over again .
This time , Ven did hit the ground as his body SLAMMED to the dry , hard land . Yet , why did it stop there ? Why [ [ w o u l d ] ] it ? His eyes looked up to see a figured with black hair and those same , piercing gold eyes right in front of him . Two hearts , joined in sickening HARMONY . A slice of the keyblade , sent Ven jumping back with his own in hand . Now , they were fighting on a stain-glass mural of himself and the boy with the black hair and gold eyes .
‘ Join me , Ventus . . . We’ll forge this keyblade together . You think you’re better than me ? You’re just a piece of a puzzle like I am . . . ’
He flashed back to him with Master Eraqus in the Land of Departure . All the times he was told he was being protected and [ [ k e p t s a f e ] ] from harm . How he was pure light , unscathed by darkness . How he wasn’t ready to leave the Land of Departure yet because he needed more training . . .
‘ You will exist no more ! ’
Bright eyes watched in HORROR as his Master aimed his own keyblade at him with the intent of taking his life away completely . He screamed in fear -- then a LIGHT --
Then he was falling into darkness all over again .
Ven awoke with a blood - curdling SCREAM in agony as he suddenly sat up in his bed , sending Chirithy flying . His eyes were wide with HORROR as looked down at his hands , panting . Tainted RED , was all he saw as visions of war [ [ f l a s h e d ] ] across his eyes .
Terra . . . Terra had nearly killed him [ [ t w i c e ] ] . No , not Terra . . . HIS Terra would never but Terra tainted by Xehanort did .
Tears RAPIDLY began to pour from his eyes as he shook in his bed .
His new ‘father’ had attempted to take his life in cold blood , and [ [ n e a r l y ] ] succeeded .
