Ok let's take a step back and really think about this though. Is this actually a good idea? Don't get me wrong I'm one of the biggest Misty fans you'll ever seen. I even listen to "Misty's Song" unironically because that is the earliest ship I remember having. And Brock is a timeless imperfect mentor character. BUT...do you think they actually remember how to write these characters? Keep in mind that the writer who came up with these characters as they exist in the anime has been dead for nearly 7 years. Is this cameo actually going to have purpose, or is it reactionary fan service based on the controversy surrounding the I Choose You movie? And while we're on the subject, how would that even work anyway with this new movie existing? I'm not saying that you shouldn't be excited. I'm just saying that this probably isn't going to be what you want it to be.
