⊰ ♛ ⊱—; Oren. She meant Oren. Well, at least they seemed to be on good terms. Ever since his encounter with Kayla, Elizabeth had been rather stressed. God, what a stupid conflict! He was a jerk, yes, and frankly he deserved some serious criticism but was it really so hard to try being civil with one another? There was a side to Oren almost no one saw because he was too damn stubborn to let down his walls. Behind closed doors, he could be intelligent. He actually valued life despite his arrogant behavior. Most importantly, he was kind deep down. It wasn’t fair, she thought, for people to jump to conclusions with him. Oh sure, Zero was allowed to be mean and push people away after suffering tragedy but god forbid Oren try and do the same.
At the mention of Kaien, however, Elizabeth raised her eyebrows in a puzzled manner. ❝ I’m– I’m sorry, did you say ‘two decades’?❞
“Well yes, according to his medical
history. I haven’t been assigned as h-
is doctor for quite that long though--
--he could possibly be seeing one off
the Association’s radar I suppose wi-
th his dislike of the President. But he
should still come in for a checkup ev-
ery now and then, it would at least p-
acify him a little and make thing’s a b-
it easier on me.”
Her goal wasn’t so much to get Kaien into trouble w-
ith his daughter, more so to get him in here to get hi-
m a check up. Just doing blood work on him every
few years didn’t really cover everything that should
be checked.
