Sharing a mini-picnic above chameleon slopes studded with chonta palms, we agree that if we had been Selkirk, we would never have left.”

Je déballe un biscuit à l’avoine, reste du petit déjeuner, la randonneuse solitaire sort un thermos de café. Le temps de cette collation au sommet de pentes caméléons piquées de chontas (des palmiers indigènes), nous convenons qu’à la place de Selkirk, nous n’aurions jamais quitté l’île. »
