Today [January 22nd] marks a year from the moment when The Shane Show started broadcasting 5 days a week on Dash Radio. It’s also three years of sobriety for Shane himself + his Mom’s and Aunt’s b-day.

I’ve been listening to the show for 9-10 months now, but I dont think my level of English will allow me to fully describe everything that for me is The Show and its crew. As a foreigner, first of all, i managed to enlarge my vocabulary - expressions, slang, words - you name it - i learned a whole bunch while listening to the show.

Not only vocabulary. Despite the fact that I am not a US citizen, not even a Western European, I’ve learned a lot about history, politics [which i’ve always tried to avoid], music, cinema, etc. For me, it’s the most interesting way of learning new things - by hearing someone tell it.

In this case - not just someone, but the Overlord, who brings us the verbal bourbon - seriously, i mean, have you heard that man talk? That’s like an eargasm or something every single fucking time. And every single person in the studio brings something into The Show and make it that special thing that it is to all its fans. I love the experience and stories that Shane shares with the listeners, how he is passionate about different things, advice that he gives, and all the educative moments of the Show.
