now i’m going to sit on the couch and read my book until it’s time to go to the arcade and to eat lunch with wife oh and i’ll feed the birds outside before then too

i folded all my laundry and cleaned up in the bedroom a bit i did a little dusting and i got a canvas tote from the closet and put all my library books in there so they’re all in one place and off the floor. got everything else cleaned up off the floor, threw out any trash, cleaned off my bedside table. then i brushed my teeth and brushed my hair and stuff

changed my theme to be more horse centric decided it was time for a change

i dreamed there was a lil pig in my backyard and i wanted to make friends with it

tbh if i could fight my bladder right now i would who does she think she is what the hell

reading up on the process for cleaning & whitening animal bones and idk the process just seems so intimate and loving 🥺 it can take several months and the idea of treating a body or remains with such gentle loving care to make it beautiful for saving and admiring just feels so sweet to me

i’m going to collect the rabbit skull in my yard and clean it and give it to my friend bc she loves shit like that

ugh wife ordered some comics and they came today but it has been stormy and the delivery person left it NOT under the awning. i feel like we have a very careless delivery person. or people. we’re always getting stuff left out in rain, or damaged inside because it’s carelessly thrown onto the porch

wife making burgers tonight and i think i offended her by asking her to make my burger less juicy than usual lol it’s just that they’re always so fat and juicy that it soaks into the bun and drips everywhere and i don’t like it because it makes my bread mushy and gives me sensory issues but she likes them like that and is proud of how she is very good at cooking meat lol it’s like i don’t have to eat it well done i just don’t want my bread to disintegrate into red mush

haven’t taken adderall today i’m trying to take a few days off but im so so so sleepy i might have to give in lol

and since each locality, municipality, etc is allowed to levy its own taxes there is a system that makes it so i am forced to pay income taxes on the localities that i work in, not just where i live. so i work in one township, and live in a city. so i pay taxes to both the township where i work and the city where i live.

ohio is ranked 15th most unfair tax system in the country

so families in ohio who make at least $622k per year pay about 6.3% in taxes (this is state & local taxes). and those who make less than $22k pay about 12.7% in state and local taxes. in what world does that make sense?

i really do hate how taxes work in ohio. it’s very unfair, extremely convoluted and regressive. i just read that in 2023 the lowest paid ohioans spent more than twice as much of their income on taxes than the highest paid ohioans.
