reading this history of journalism makes me feel kind of nostalgic for a time when journalism had real teeth and could break barriers and make real change. i’m not saying it doesn’t anymore but i do feel we’ve def declined from a peak era of journalism’s power over the last few decades

obsessively checking the state hearings portal online to see when they’re going to give me a hearing date for terminating my medicaid :( no updates yet but i read in the FAQ that apparently as long as i request the hearing within 15 days of getting the notice then i should be able to keep my benefits while the situation gets resolved so hopefully i should still be able to access them even if this process takes more than 3 weeks
