i’m feeling tired and my head has been hurting for a couple hours bleh

okay i took a nap and then i did the cake dishes, frosted the cake and put the cake in a container so the kitchens all cleaned up and everything im sleeeepy

box mix spice cake. will frost with cream cheese frosting (store bought). i don’t usually bother with baking cakes or brownies from scratch when i can get this from a box for 2.50

saw a video recently about “tomato soup cake” and its cake made with a can of tomato soup i think they said it was popular like in the depression years. my first thought was what?? yuck?? but then in the video they made it and ate it and said you can’t taste the tomato it mostly tastes like a spice cake. and that intrigued me greatly. i DO love carrot cake. so now i want to try to make tomato soup cake.

smells like spice cake in my house

told my wife i’d make her cake for calling the vet for robin (he’s fine i think!! there’s just a small growth on his paw that i think is probably benign but want to get it checked anyway) so i got the cake in the oven now and i might lay down for a nap after it’s out of the oven hmm

tbh i’m feeling a bit unmotivated today

just kind of briefly piggybacking off my post from yesterday—i have really complicated feeling about adhd (which i am diagnosed & being treated for!!). like my feelings about neurodivergence is that what we consider “neurotypical” is just a neurotype that doesn’t struggle as much under capitalism (or perhaps that grew up under capitalism with adequate resources, stability, social & educational support). other neurotypes struggle more under capitalism but it doesn’t necessarily make them “bad” or “disordered.” also i think that there is no textbook “normal,” no standard from which all other types deviate—i kind of just think we’re all wired a bit different to make us unique and give us each unique strengths, passions, interests etc.

anyway i guess my complicated feelings come from the fact that i don’t think the way anyone’s brain works should becessarily be a disease or disorder—often the reason we struggle is because the world isn’t flexible for ppl like us. but also of course im going to take the diagnosis and treatment because stimulants help me to do capitalism and that is important lol

today i have to go pick up my remaining prescription, have some laundry to do and maybe some other chores like dishes and vacuuming but i wanna try to read today and also get some rest. i did sleep in until almost 6.30 today lol

okay i switched my laundry to the dryer and watered and fertilized the plants. wife has been doing the watering in the mornings lately which is a nice break because im historically the one who does the watering i. the morning!! but i got out there today and did it. i don’t have to wait so late on my days off to take my extended release like i would with immediate release so that’s nice that i don’t have to like ration when my best hour will be in the day lol. now going to take a lil breaky break
