❛ shut it, we’re not lost. ❜ however, the truth was that everything did look exactly alike and it was really difficult to find their way back to his mother’s parents’ cottage in the woods out of town. he’d found some old papers proving that it hadn’t been sold like his father had said — proving his dad still wanted to keep a part of his mother despite everything bad he did to her and jacob. it wasn’t like he hadn’t loved her, right? jake had taken diana there for a surprise weekend so they could just be on their own for a while and jake needed the fresh air to say the least. it was nice, despite how the cottage smelled of his grandparents which smelled awfully a lot like his mother. it still made him happy though. ❛ we’re not walking in circles. i promise. ❜

She also knew how much of a know it all she came off as, and how much it turned people off, but if Jakob had not left her by now then he was not going to leaver her because of that ...
