    THERE WAS BLOOD on her hands, but it wasn’t hers nor had it been spilled by her.  A glance to the other woman, not understanding WHAT just occurred and feeling a staleness in the air.  There was no body that she could spy, just the crimson that had splattered the floor; this was the scene she had walked into and nothing else had been noticed.

             “Jus’ for the r e c o r d, I didn’t see anything so no need t’consider me a witness.”

it’s quite sticky - the chunky substance and matters jabbing slabs on her jacket for she has been bedraggled in the latest execution ( a mistep that would have costed batters and tangles to her mind back when she was their pawn ) and let ire blanket her emotions. she would have gotten a clean kill if it hadn’t been for the endless mockery -- reminders she would always be theirs, she wasn’t human and she didn’t deserve to be. all that ended with a crunch of her fists, limbs shattered and blood spilled and--- there’s someone watching, caught the act, or the end of it at the very least. the lack of screaming surprises her - prompts her to trail parts of the blood along the ground without even touching it, and forms words that’re distinctly casual and polite, contrasting the whole atmosphere.

charlie found herself to be more verbal than her sister, and yet she understood her - knew full well that her own powers could become lethal, and the lives of those around her mattered very little in comparison to her own. the two had found each other again, both so different and yet almost comforting in each other’s presence ; charlie wasn’t afraid of her, and as she sat across the room from her, she found her shoulders settling. she leaned against the wall, letting a sigh escape her lungs. 

“ you should eat. “

  she  should  feel  like  she’s  wasting  time  here.  god  knows  how  far  project  iv  and  its  troop  have  embarked  to  pursuit  individuals  with  the  potentials  like  her,  like  charlie  and  she’s  cooped  up  here  instead  with  an  untouched  bowl  of  lukewarm  soup  --- she  should  feel  like  she’s  wasting  time,  yet  the  petite,  unscathed  girl  who  lives  within her  rebels  against  the  malicious  intents,  tells  her  to  whack  down  for  once  and  halt  her  hunting,  spend  time  with  someone  whom  she  hadn’t  seen  in  years.  she  tastes  heaviness on  her  tongue  when she  sees  her,  a  fucked-up  batter  of  weariness  and  pride.  she  looks  at  charlie  and  she  sees  a hero.  she  looks  at  herself  and  she  sees  a  creature  that  charlie  needs  to  put  down  to  rescue  the  others.
