Welp I’m kinda happy to report my Go Bag remained unused for the entirety of the election cycle!

But I really want to try some of those MREs I bought. And I’m kinda interested in how that purification straw works. And I kinda thought it would be fun to try out fishing with my emergency pole and to sleep out in my emergency fire proof blankets....

My Capitol took a meth’ed out trucker slamming a semi into the side a few years ago and we laughed it off as “a bad night” as it burned down a section.

My Capitol has a thousand foot stare cause man, we’ve seen some shit.

I see more police and military and high powered weapons in Penn Station everyday than I did on TV this afternoon.

I’m mean Penn is pretty important but so is the Capitol.

The lady that had relapsed during her last month of pregnancy....if you remember for the last few days her husband was just staying home babysitting her...well her water broke and she’s in the hospital right now.

So I guess this is a pretty good outcome. She relapsed, he caught it, it was a couple days of panic and frustration but it all worked out.

Forced sobriety for the baby’s sake.

My friend’s wife has been on a bender for a few days. She was sent away to rehab and came back out and started drinking again.

Typically this would be an “oh that sucks” type of thing but she’s 8 months pregnant and doesn’t want to stop drinking nor does she seem to get that she’s 8 months pregnant. Or care.

Now we gotta get her somewhere.

Rehabs don’t want an 8 month pregnant lady. CPS won’t step in til the baby is born. Detox only wants her for 3 days. I’ve got people in addiction services for 40 plus years tossing all these plans back and forth about how they can get her here then there and get through this last month keeping her locked up until she has the baby but the sad fact is she doesn’t want to get sober.

That’s a problem.

No one can force anyone to do this. It’s just the way it is. Right now she is being held for a few days in detox. After that, they are moving her over to another place for another few days stay.

The only thing that is keeping her in is she has no where to go. Her husband said don’t come back. Her parents say the same thing.

No one is giving her any money so she’s basically forced there by situation. No one can hold her.

When the baby is born, CPS is already on the way to do a blood test so this is already way down a bad road.

For three days I’ve had people working to get plans going only to have her freak out and leave and the thing is most people would let her go through her little tantrum and let her go get drunk but she’s 8 months pregnant and an alcoholic....

Anyways...hey what can you say. I’m going to bed frustrated hoping we don’t have to start this all over again.

Well this is no good.

My church burned today. That’s a hell of a way to mark Christmas Day.

I know 2020 has been a kick in the ass but this one was a little lower than I expected.

No one was hurt but wow.

It’s a weird, weird feeling when you realize that the people you were talking about when you used to said “I did what they said and my life got better” is suddenly you.

I’ve become the “they” in people stories now.

Another disappointment. I grew up in Northern California. We had the big snows when I was a kid. Tahoe Cement. Tall, wet and heavy.

This New York shit is weak! “But Todd! This will be the Big One! You’ll see! The BIG ONE!”

This state will never let me use my 6 year old snowblower!!! 6 damn years that’s been sitting in my garage! 6!! Six! Seis!!

Argh!!!! Another damn year of disappointment!!

I’m not big on Christmas parties and in this Yuletime Covid, kinda surprised they are happening but I was witness to a cold ignore invite this morning.

Oh yeah. It’s gotta be loud for me to care.

I guess there was, or is, a Christmas party that someone wasn’t invited to and they found out about said non invite and said loudly “thank you for the invite....” and walked out crying in the middle of a conversation that she was eavesdropping on.

Oh so many thoughts....

First...screw them if they don’t like you

Second...screw you for acting like a child

Third....screw all of you for having a Christmas party

So I had a friend come up to me a week ago telling me how he found Ketamine was now being used to treat depression. Found something online that said that.

They found him dead a few hours ago. I doubt it was Ketamine that killed him.

I had a friend years ago tell me the same kind of thing. He didn’t think he was a drug addict anymore.

Yeah he’s dead as well.
