Black Sludge visual mockups. Still in the process of figuring out the "look" of the short, but making strides every day. Making a concentrated effort of coming up with concise yet powerful compositions, and letting the color and shadow shapes dictate the mood of the scene.

Man ya'll out there killing it with Inktober! Unfortunately I don't have the energy to fully participate this year, but accept this small contribution from me.

Been meaning to post this for the last couple of days. Video breakdown of the latest animation.

I'm usually very reticent about sharing my animation work, but it's time to change that. For my senior project I'm going to be animating a short set in the world of Black Sludge. This is the first style test I've done, and while I feel like it fails visually, it was an important step in understanding my own animation ability, time management, and workflow efficiency. Stay tuned for more.
